What do you mean? Astrologian already outheals white mage in terms of heal per second in the majority of fights this tier and last both on average and at the top end.
The bait is strong with this one
AST needs a rework to fix the screw up SE has done with its cards and a redesign with its healing style because too much of it is a copy of WHM for no reason.
It does not need a buff.
Whm has 400*3=1200 heals from lilies every min plus 1200/min avg healing from asylum and assize. So 2400 total.
While Ast only has 700+500+200+720 from celestial, collective horoscope, and star which total 2120. And 1000 of that is regen which is not always useful.
That is not to mention lilies have charges so it is always reducing cd while Ast cds will stop so it is even less frequently if you need to hold it.
It also let you have instant cast to move whenever you want while Ast can only use lightspeed at specific times and it is hard to use it outside of buff windows.
20s is too op.
Press one of those 60s CDs once every 20s, so you're rotating through them then. Then you notice that each of them is, on average, stronger than the 400p of the equivalent lily cast. Asylum is regen which is not always useful. You also forget Lady, RNG as it is, as a potential source of healing. And of course while WHM has 'potentially 2000p' Lilybell, AST has 'technically has no upper limit' Macrocosmos, so strong that it invalidated an entire heal check mechanic that other healers had to waste LB3 on
WHM's constantly getting thrown to the sidelines every tier because AST has cards. We don't need to give people more reason to do so. If you want to play AST play AST, just don't kill any reason to play WHM in the process
I do agree on Lightspeed though, should have gotten 2 charges a long time ago
Good to see one of the best healer in the world chiming in for the healer's betterment <3

OP is correct.
I did the math on this myself when I was deciding on whether to play WHM or AST last tier and while I can't remember my exact findings, it came out quite similar to what was just posted above. And with AST's being regens which you don't need a lot of the time, plus the fact that WHM can do Plenary -> Lily x2 for an on-demand 1200 potency and Horoscope isn't as strong potency-wise as Plenary in that way because you don't always want to buff it with a GCD heal, so you're more likely to get 400 value from a Plenary than 400 from a Horoscope.
Of course AST can still do some great things with its tools which don't require the AST to be in range when they remotely detonate, but I think WHM has been stronger since the Lily Buff (it wasn't before) and I don't think anyone has talked about it because people don't really analyze healer potency numbers in this way even on The Balance or w/e and have been used to AST being considered the stronger one for a long time. But the Lily timer change was huge.
To be fair, AST could use a buff to its damage for solo instances/etc. Something like using cards on itself can stack (though that might be a newb trap...) or that thee effects are doubled or tripled if played on itself or if used on itself when its not a member of a party. Then again, in ~8 months we'll see the rework, so who knows?
Good lord. WHM has a tiny advantage on what is perhaps the least important healer metric, the per-minute healing throughput front, and we immediately need to buff AST; it's not hilariously ahead on one single metric! It's the end of Heavensward all over again.
