You can ask in the game, I know it 's crazy
If not, then wait until they're done with the blackout /shrug

That’s how I feel. I don’t think a tiny number of moderators should be able to control if hundreds of thousands of people who use their subreddit get to engage with it. It’s pretty selfish. People should have their own decision if whatever is going on rises to the level of not using thr platform.

given its reputation, I would say 99% of the community does not go there looking for answers to FF14 questions

Add -reddit onto the end of your search. There's plenty of alternative sources of historic player created FFXIV info out there beyond reddit.

I consider this a good lesson about relying on centralized structures.

If you have problems finding information and google is just giving you reddit results then this is more telling about you than anything else. The algorithm is learning from your behavior.
That aside, i don't think a lvl 46 gladiator needs a guide to anything, lol. And if that is a forum alt then shame on you.
Edit: I stand corrected, the lil' fella needs a guide to job stones. Urgently.
Thats literally why it was closed in the first place, mods on their petty little powertrip. But since mods like their power, they will reopen soon anyway cause no way they let Reddit take away their mod status. Alot of subs already opened up. Especially after Reddit said accessibility tools will be exempt from the API pricing change it was nothing more than internet janitors trying to display their perceived power. You are absolutely delusional if you think this blackout is 1. gonna last for longer than a week 2. it will change Reddits stance

Isn't the blackout pretty selfish too? They had multiple options they could have worked on that wouldn't inconvenience others. Reddit has a large amount of useful data on it and right now that data is being held hostage.
When are people going to learn that dragging others into their protests by forcefully inconveniencing them is not going to make them want to support them but rather go against them instead?
