140 is a good amount to get the successes, again, second to control to keep from going unstable.
80-100 magic craft is all i use to keep the color changing as i dont see it help with success on any crafts from ingots to potions. with +1 tools, and shoes, mag craft is easy to get to 100.

any one not doing a full control build should try it and see the different with successful finished crafts and high quality successes with less unstable synths

i try your advice, replacing one of the gear for control, Explorer's Calot for Pince-Nez, and it work like wonder ^^
Im now crafting comfortly at 100 control and 150-ish craft
