    Probably rage quit because they couldn't quest grind to level lol. Its not that big of a fix since quest mobs aren't really much different from world spawns so the SP rates will still be very minimal.

    On topic of shell again:

    On the topic of monster attribute changes and possibly player attribute changes, can you go more into detail on this? A lot of players feel everything is still a bit out of whack when it comes to the current attributes like dex barely affecting Accuracy or Shell barely reducing an Imps Blizzard damage.

    Our Lead Battle Director, Matsui-san, is currently undergoing--they're basically going to change the equations for how stuff is calculated, all of these attributes. As they balance each of the classes with the new balance system, they're going to go through and check each action. And then see how that needs to be adjusted, and reassign each attribute as they go along.

    Since it's going to be such a huge undertaking, it's going to happen in steps--it's not all going to change in the next patch, but over the next few patches we hope to change it. But we want to reassess everything, so it's not like we're going to be looking at one broken thing, we're going to be changing pretty much everything.

    One of the reasons that you have some of the things not affecting something at all--like Shell not working on a lot of spells--is because right now a lot of the calculations for that stuff is too complex. Because it's so complex, it's difficult to balance. They want to make it simpler, not just so the players know what's going on--having to have some super program going on in the background to understand the calculations--but also so when the devs do balancing, it's easier for them to balance.
    It's not broken, it's just the calculations are making it hard to balance which is why it seems like it does nothing because by eyeballing you can't tell -- you need parse data and proper variables to test.

    When I say it's a huge fix, it's not because it is hard to do - cuz it's not. It's cuz it was very requested and it's an important one ;P

    btw they be more too this patch it may be added later before the update or on the update showing more fix they done this many time.

    Doubtful. It doesn't even matter though.

    I predict that Companies will be added in 1.17, and the class system rehaul + first part of the combat system rehauls + the first instances as well as other content like beast tribes + the jumping mechanics + the gear affinity changes + the AH system will be implemented in 1.18 in May (which may be even called 1.19 or 1.2). All of these changes take more than a few months to develop, probably around three. Companies have been developed longer than the others, thus it can be released in 1.17. If we're lucky we may even see AH and the Jumping mechanics implemented before 1.18 but that sounds doubtful.

    Basically, everything from the first & third letters of the producer should be implemented by May if no further delays happen. After that the rest of May, June and maybe July we will get smaller patches once again, with a larger batch in late-July/early August.

    Hopefully after August they are done with rehauling since that takes a long time and a lot of resources and can start polishing the newly introduced and old systems instead with the huge team they have at their disposal. Another two-three months of polishing should get rid of most of the annoyances with the features as well as make them stand out. But I don't think they will be ready for PS3 release by August yet. Hopefully they delay it few months more at that point.

    The PS3 "Beta" could very well start at around August though.

    Disappointing but expected, on the other hand extremely happy as both fixes/adjustments I approve of and glad to see, Also with the Japan events I was not expecting a patch at all.

    they should do it that way from the start.... why the dev team have to trying to be different from other MMO all the time? and they have to fix their bad idea later anyway

    Because their game is not like other MMO's.

    They had to stop people from EXPing on the quest monsters. They may have even simply decided to look at what the players end up doing before going further. It is better to buff a system after confirming it works instead of nerfing it after confirming it doesn't work.
