What's your favorite thing in the game?

I like doing achievements, glamour, fishing, relic weapons, PvP, and story content. I worked through all the side content in ARR before moving on to Heavensward, including all sidequests (both standalone ones and questlines like postmoogle, feast of famine, hildebrand adventures), relic weapons, sightseeing logs, etc.

I am now on post-HW (patch 3.4 content) though my long term goals are to get the High Roller achievement (the biggest grind part seems to be both cactpot achievements as they are based on time and randomness), as well as eventually the Big Fish title (I have all of the ARR big fish caught and am working through the HW ones now).

I commend you on getting the Big Fish prog. I'm finding those to be ridiculously hard. lol

I've hated fishing in just about any game ever. To have the patience to get every fish though is commendable. That takes a lot of time and effort.

ikr? And Big Fish require craziness like "Double mooching while in a rainstorm, beneath a waxing moon, on a Thursday." ... Alright, I might be exaggerating slightly. But still. Takes patience I haven't found, yet.

Being able to create my own FF character and play through as her in the story, is still my favourite aspect. It was why I started in FFXI all those years ago, gave FFXIV 1.0 a chance and was determined to get Legacy status, and continued into ARR, and still continue playing to this day.

Additional perks are:

It's a Final Fantasy game.... (and the resulting call-backs and fanservice references to past and later FF games)
Being able to solo main story content but still can draw on my friends or others if I need to (and thus is far easier to form parties than FFXI was)
The music.... my goddess the music... (Uematsu, Soken, et al.... *chef's kiss*)

One of the better designed aesthetic classes in FF, like a superhero or something.

As for the actual gameplay? it is meme worthy, which is why I memed it as a superhero with devour.

I know 1000 Gigs is 1 Terabyte...but what is 1000 Terabytes? That's one huge drive.

A petabyte.

Games however keep getting bigger as Devs try more and more to burn out the newest GPU's and hardware. Seems like most new games nowadays are easily hitting or exceeding 100GB at launch just to get even bigger with DLC later. I recently bought a 4TB expansion SSD for my PS5 because of it. The file system bloat I'd say mostly comes from the visuals of the titles. Where as I put a 1TB micro SD card into my Switch and download like 100 games and still have space for 100 more.
