Be grateful there's never any stats like Piety and/or Tenacity on the Savage weapon. That would be the real disrespect.

There actually was in the past. Both Stormblood and Shadowbringers had a few instances where the tome weapon was better than the savage one (mostly on healers) but substats were also stronger back in Stormblood.
