    Launcher Error [30413][25008][20495]. PLEASE FFXIV TEAM READ THIS.

    Hi everyone!

    Well, like many of players here, I do play FFXIV on Steam, which is better for me because I like to track my hours and all my games in only one place.

    But seems since I started playing, I always get the same error while updating or redownloading the game. Also I've seen that this is not a steam issue, because a lot of players are having the same issue on windows version as well.

    I've tried every solution from forums, reddits, etc, and none of them worked. What I've been doing to download the game is sitting in front of the launcher and reopening every time the launcher faces the error [30413][25008][20495], and I keep doing that for hours until the game is fully downloaded, once the launcher retains the downloaded files.

    Well, that's really painful, especially because not everyone has the time to sit in front of the launcher to do that.

    My suggestion to Square Enix, at least for people that plays on Steam, is to let us download the files through the Steam Download tab like many other MMOs on Steam does, instead of downloading it on the FF launcher. And for people that plays the Windows Version, let them download the game from another official link instead, and use the launcher only to check files and download minor things that might be missing.

    Also, at least for me I don't get to download at full speed that my internet provides me, the launcher caps me on 5mb/s for some reason.

    Hope We can get a solution for this issue, because seems people are having this launcher problem for years.

    Imagine having to face this issue every single time that a new expansion releases.

    Ummm。。。 I never seen this issue?Probably not many people actually see this issue so ‘ a lot ’ maybe not actually?

    Please check if you update everything and if restart computer help! :)

    Seems like you are experiencing errors with a patch update. I would unistall and then reinstall it fresh. That might help.

    I reinstalled it fresh about a year ago and it didn't take too awfully long.

    You can try and delete

    C:\Users\username\my games\documents\finalfantasy XIV\FFXIV_Boot.cfg

    If it is the launcher that fail to boot up, this may fix,make sure to take a backup, just in case.

    Tried it a few times where it corrupts the launcher for either booting it up or just getting booted up and just somehow fails and needs to close.

    I'm assuming you're on a laptop. Try connecting to the modem with an Ethernet cable or strengthen your Wi-Fi connection by eliminating interference. If you've got dual-band swap to 2.4GHz for extra stability to install since as you've identified the download is capped at 5mb/s anyway. These errors are the result of an unstable internet connection. I've experienced this exact same problem and that was the root cause.

    I'm actually playing the game on PC. Maybe I'm just unlucky. Also seems that it might be a internet provider issue, Dunno, because apparently there's people from my country that got the same problem and people that didn't even faced this error.

    Thank you for the help. Well, everything in my computer is up to date, some people said it's a DSL problem, but even with a VPN I've got the same error, I also tried changing the DSL and refreshing the router, but unfortunatelly I've got the same error. I've tried to portforward it as well, but seems none of these solutions worked.

    seems like there was an issue with some people back in 2019 with players in Singapore and Australia, it might be worth a look?

    have you tried creating a hotspot from your phone (different ISP I hope) and trying to connect that way? Your ISP might be the issue.

    I've tried that as well. I also tried installing the game in another file. I usually install my games on my SSD, I also tried install it on my HDD, and I've got the same error, sadly.

    No, I'm from Brazil. I used to play FFXIV when I had an another internet provider, but the connection was worse. So I recently changed to a better connection from another provider. But sadly FF XIV is the only game I've faced this issue. Also sad because it's the game I play the most ;-;
