You don't have to worry about having to adjust to changes in range but about getting used to it as it presently is, so I'd say, give it a good try. It's still fun for me even though I will press silence a bunch of times when out of range in every match... Repelling Shot can go wrong but it's super fun and I would encourage to use it as often as possible. With more space it's great, corners are not that good unless you need to pot behind one or lb. You also get a good view of what is actually going right or wrong. LB can be a real blast and a tide turner... Bard is a team player job, there is no other way with that one. You will be the one watching tanks get in trouble and sometimes be in position to help them stay alive. With silence, repelling shot and paeon there are some things that can be done for others. I would recommend macros for paeon for every team member so it's easier to throw it at someone so long you don't need it for yourself. Autotargetting nearest helps you always shoot someone between target switching so you can keep yourself nice and busy and it helps when you get jumped from behind. I'd recommend you to see what you can make of it.

BRD is a ranged job and therefore relies on the team to perform properly. On top of it it's a support oriented job which means that if nobody is able to follow up on your silences for example, or make use of your damage buffs, you'll essentially waste a lot of your kit and what you bring up to the team if they don't use it well.
Nocturne has also been nerfed to the ground last patch so it doesnt help.
Been playing BRD a bit. Still losing. Probably from playing badly and just simply being bad as a support. Losing streak in Bronze right now, so it looks like I might stay there.
If you think you can do better with support, one good tip would be to try and make mouse over macros for Wanderer's Paean. It's good to use one since it makes it easy to give a cleanse to your team while still doing uptime. I would also making a self-target macro to go with it so you can use it on yourself/proc Pitch Perfect for bursts. Since it does give you Pitch Perfect, you can just use it to get damage out of it, so using it over the support aspect is better from scenarios, but always try and get the most out of it. Other than Paean, most of your support stuff is just managing uptime as much as you can on your Apex Arrow buff, and Final Fantasia. Blast Arrow technically should also be managed, but I typically save it for bursts due to the extra damage it has. That's just my advice since climbing to crystal on it before, so hopefully that made enough sense. lol
Maybe I deserve to be forever bronze.
Maybe I could make it out of bronze if I didn't keep getting ganked by gold ranks showing up against me all the time.
The world will never know.
The offer still stands, if you can record a game, I would be more than happy to give you some pointers on what you could personally do better to help improve your winrate regardless of RNG teammates or party composition.
PLD from unrank to crystal is do-able but its immense suffering, if youre gonna try it then you'll need try different playstyles to compensate with team skill or lack thereof
PLD is one of the strongest jobs in the game right now. Do you want tips? I've seen you around and it's pretty clear that your play pattern/mindset is still stuck in high plat/low diamond
BLM is also one of the hardest carry jobs in the game rn. You saying this tells me that you have next to no job knowledge, so I'm gonna give you some advice. If you want to climb, first understand the rules of the game, especially the overtime rules. You don't have to throw your body onto the crystal in 50/50 overtimes, for example--that's something that I still see getting messed up in diamond and crystal.
Next, it doesn't really matter what job you pick, especially at low ranks. Read all of your tooltips, and become mechanically proficient and consistent with one or two jobs. Try to hop on the official pvp job guide and read the tooltips for all the other jobs too, so you at least roughly understand what your matchups are and what is available to other players.
And honestly that's it. I don't know what your goals are, but if you do nothing but become mechanically stable on one job, you can easily make it to plat.
Edit: hopped on an alt, brand new to pvp (actually had to go unlock it), booted up PLD. I'm telling you, just practice your rotation/combos, set up your hotbars to be comfortable for you, and you should easily be able to dominate lower ranks.
