    Directx fatal error 1100002

    HELP, since the 10th of June, my game has been crashing with Directx fatal error (1100002). Seemingly came out of nowhere, crashes happen anywhere from basically launching the game to 10 mins or even a few hours, with no correlation on whats happening in game.

    I have a:
    GPU: RTX 2060 TUF gaming
    CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
    RAM: 32GB 3200Mhz Dual Channel
    2 SSD's, one of which has windows, the other has steam and the game on it, an HDD
    650 Watt PSU 80+
    B450m motherboard

    So far, I've tried:
    clean reinstall
    reinstall drivers
    reinstall game, windows, programs
    limit fps at 60
    disable all overlays (like steam, nvidia and discord)
    verify game files multiple times
    take out ram and back in
    take out gpu and back in
    overclocking, underclocking GPU
    uninstall rivatuner and Msi afterburner
    disable full screen optimization on the ffxiv_dx11.exe file, after seeing it being recommended by a moderator here on the forum
    change cpu priority for the game to high
    Run system repair via cmd, which ultimately didnt find anything.

    Update to the list, I tried reinstalling Directx, didnt work either

    What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac etc.)
    What type of connection are you using (wired/wireless)?
    Does this only happen to one character or all characters?
    Are there other programs being used when running FFXIV?

    Hello!
    I'm using Steam, with wired ethernet connection, it happens on all characters with seemingly no correlation to what happens in the game as this issue can occur anywhere from even before loading in to the main menu to hour in. Not many programs, steam of course, discord and sometimes a browser open but thats about it!

    Thank you for your response. We would like to confirm if there were any major update or changes made to the PC at the time of the crash happening?

    If possible, we would like to ask if you could provide a system report? This can be done by opening the launcher, going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display' then copy and paste all the information generated into a response here so we may be able to look into the issue further.

    Hello again! I have figured out the problem, just before the problem started, i have installed a new Ram kit, and after all the trial and error i put back the old one a few days ago and since then ive had no crashes. I sent the memory back for a replacement, hopefully the next one works fine, thank you for your help!
