Given that most of your parents bought you computers instead of raising you properly, I'd like to imagine that you all would at least have a cursory understanding of how network infrastructure works in exchange for all the developmental milestones you missed.

The queues are the result of a buffer that pulses people through on dynamic server ticks, to prevent situations where too many people trying to log in at once crashes everything with no survivors. There's even a Lodestone post describing exactly that from Yoshi-P if you don't believe me and care enough to dig it up.

Any other explanation is a conspiracy theory and/or pseudo-intellectualism. Get help.
