I love FFXIV with all my heart but that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore the things that are wrong with it. You can love a game while also acknowledging its flaws and wanting the game devs to fix things and make the game better. There's a difference between being a hater and being someone who loves something dearly and wants the best for it. Constructive criticism is a good thing.

There are valid reasons why players are unhappy with certain aspects of FFXIV. Nobody has the same experiences. Nobody's opinion and feelings in regards to this override the next person's. Like, I get what you're trying to say but toxic positivity ain't it, chief. I'm sorry.

Also: don't assume what others do in the game. Some of us do all the things, some of us only do certain things. Then there's those of us who experience burnout so they'll do the things that don't require too much from them, or they'll take a much needed break until they feel ready to come back to it. There's no right or wrong way to play the game.

I love this game as much as the next fan, but there are some pretty glaring issues and people can express their dissatisfaction with it. Personally, I am not a huge fan of how the game came its all about the dps and in the process removing a lot of skills and utility across the multiple jobs. BUt that's just me because I like complexity in my jobs. now its 1,2,3, mitigate, OGCD, 1,2,3 essentially in a nutshell. Or how currently you can blast through end game content in a few hours because the scaling is pretty broken. Maybe they will fix it with another number crunch who knows, but trying to bring toxicity positivity and saying other's that disagree are negative people, that's never good and it usually ends up in drama. Just say what you loved about the game, pat the devs on the back virtually and move on. THe same goes with the people expressing the negatives about the game. simple as that.

Every game will have flaws 。。。 you can‘t expect perfect in any game 。。。

Not surprised this thread ended up like this - and all the usuals are here. Not sure why it matters if once every few weeks people just want to focus on things like like in a game they like. Plenty of places to talk about the opposite.

Its healthy to complain and point out the bad.
But not to the levels that its Obsessive and constant, and turns into Personal Attacks over someone having a different opinion.

Every day is a gift. Something many forget in their haste to find what is wrong, rather what is good and enjoyable. You may call it "toxic positivity", Ms Bitter and Cynical, but if thats all you can see, then thats ail you ever deserve to see.

Customers will be positive when they stop putting invisible hidden fees in their services. They do not tell you that mounts are locked behind ANOTHER shop until you actually bought the game. They deserve all the negativity on Better Business Bureau.

Im positive now and I havent bought it yet. Matter of fact, Im positive I want to buy it. It isnt "hidden", its optional. Do better next time

Every MMO has their positives and negatives. I do like XIV for what it is but I've liked other MMOs more.

I will say this one is leagues more social and I do like that. 2nd place goes to old school Barrens Chat.

Positivity is good. However objectively unbiased is better. Both sides have good points but I've noticed both sides have a hard time to take the other sides opinions into consideration.

Frankly...I think it's wishful thinking that will every happen.
