Please change combat style

Okay just played through ff16 demo, I know I'll get in trouble for posting when they find out I got on...

But please change the combat to 16s style and make graphics look like it so much better combat that keeps you interacted

I won't be replying cuz post alone is risk t.t

Nahh, it is not that difficult. Sharper texures and good anti aliasing would improve the image quality drastically. And the engine is capable to render textures with a much higher resolution. So they need new textures with a higher resolution. But i do not know whether they exist or not.


Further improvements would be a migration to DirectX 12/Vulkan, a better lighting or raytracing etc.

Feasibility of it is practically 0. Would make it interesting I agree, but it would require so much capital that the people who hold the purse strings would die of laughter for the request to increase the budget, of a game that it feels like they are slashing budget for.

It was about 10 years between FFXI and FFXIV (if you discount 1.0 entirely). By no means does that mean a new FF MMO is coming out... this year :P As long as it is "profitable enough", we'll see FFXIV. But if profits fall too much, they might just get out of the MMO business and let 7.0 be the last expansion.

It seems to be good combat for single player game which you will play for few dozens of hours (out of which you will be in combat only for fraction of that time), but it will get boring really quick.

Even though FFXIV's combat can be pretty brain dead, it's still miles ahead of this "DMC5, but for toddlers". If I wanted 1 button for attack, 1 for dodge, and few others for flashy fluff, I could pick dozens of decent AAA games. But there is not many games with classic MMORPG combat, like WoW, L2, FFXIV and few others have.
