I am tired of being punished by CC's matchmaking (ranked)

I think at this point, its obvious that the meta comp 1 tank 1 healer and 3 dps, is the best way to win right now in CC, but its also totally cool, that you get unranked or bronze players while being at gold or even plat.

Now I know there will be people who say "Just focus on yourself and you will win consistently" but I really doubt that when I already have most or 2nd most damage with less deaths to everyone else, and still have have to pray to get a decent comp or for the dragoon abusers to actually use their LB probably instead of running of and doing a 1vs1/1vs2

holy crap, another statistic that proves my point.
You're right, 'just focusing on yourself' will not help you and the people who told you that are lying to your face.
At the end of the day, Ranked is a tedious RNG based hell and honestly the best you can do is just try to have fun.... do your best.
better yet, treat it like casual like i did on my alt! got plat in only 2-3 hours lol

Yep, the first bracket is biggest mess due widest range of matchmaking (extending it was awful decision). It's where you can least count on your teammates and have to make the most impact and hope that your teammates throw less than your enemies.

Climbing out can either be a very quick streak or a mire of having to deal with constant streak breaks and setbacks because someone hasn't bound their keys or thinks the whole mode is stand on crystal at all times regardless of what's going on (alternatively randomly chasing some enemy around the map for the whole game). While in theory you have advantage as you have to roll only 4 teammates against enemy's 5, getting an unlucky draw or two will quickly escalate into extreme effort required to maybe compensate for them.

As for the comp, it's really weird that they didn't make the game to value Tanks and Healers about the same when there's very few of them. Having 1T4DPS vs 1H4DPS is vastly preferrable to 1T1H3D vs 5DPS.

Oh and if you manage to get to Plat games, you are going to have the same thing again to slightly lesser extent. Getting matched with Gold/Plat or Plat/Diamond roulette and yet ANOTHER time when you hit Diamond and have to flip the coin if you actually start getting decent games with Dia/Crystal or have to deal with the Plat brackets mixed in. I usually started in Diamond and avoided most of the annoying flipping in past seasons, but had Plat start this time around due missing the last Season. It was horrible pingpong of going up and down 2-3 subtiers until I finally got mostly same people one day and could just focus on playing the same Job instead of gambling which bracket game I get and which Job works better in either (usually guessing wrong).

If you take a quick look at the win # for players in top 100 you can see how some streaked through and others rolled a lot more bad matches. Then again the match count matters little to the grinders since they will get there eventually, some faster some slower.

random ranked games are foolish nonsense that dont belong in online gaming. you have zero control over who you play with and it serves only as an annoyance. the only reasonable ranked matchmaking in any game is a 1v1

If by healer, you mean WHM. SCH and AST are woefully dependent on the competency of their other 4 teammates, and SGE is a DPS in disguise. WHM is the only meta healer in that it has the deadliest CC (and an obvious supporting plugin built around it that can insta-negate almost half of the roster's LBs) and an LB that charges way too frequently for its payoff and play-making potential.

I'm pretty sure you can't get unranked or bronze players matched with platinum? Though there are certainly platinum players that play like bronze players. But up to gold is definitely a crapshoot; games often can be decided as early as the team lineup by devolving into whichever team doesn't get the Bronze 3 deadweight(s) in the queue. But yes, a large portion of the games are decided by luck from both certain players (griefing or not), or whether or not your team has more meta jobs or melee. Really, the only way to circumvent at least one of those issues is to queue one of those jobs yourself and not be terrible at it. Skill can only get you so far when your DRG teammate wastes their LB in a misguided 1v5 attempt that accomplishes nothing.

You might be misremembering things, because you actually can't get matched with unranked/bronze once you're plat. You can get matched with gold, but not any lower than that.
