Removing it from my hotbar won't free up skill space for them to replace it with an interesting party support option for my support DPS job.

Jobs don't have the same number of keys regardless, and Bard is far from the max. They're free to add or not add another 'interesting party support option' regardless of Repelling Shot.
Was a problem in parts of E3S as well... and also in Hell's Kier, and when that came out there wasn't a Displacement option, so you had to just not use a backflip at all.
At least Bards have some form of "gap closer". There jobs that dont have anything and while its not the most optimized ability, it still can come in handy on regular basis. Not jumping back into death walls is as much a part of how to play the job as your song rotation.
Having small hands, I want some jobs to stay far from the max number of keys so that I can main them. If Repelling Shot remains useless, fine. I'll just dump it in favor of a real ability to keep bloat under control if I need to.
But if it actually gets revised into something I need to have on my bar, while at the same time I'm expected to fit in more and more new buttons, then it's a problem.

Even if it was turned into drgs leap backwards you wouldn't ever need it on your bars considering ranged physical never have to cast, you will not have a problem getting out of mechanics without itHaving small hands, I want some jobs to stay far from the max number of keys so that I can main them.
