Seriously. You can't criticize this game at -all- without being called mean, a troll, told to go play something else, told your toooooone isn't "polite" enough, it's enough to make a cat laugh. And then you have the same clique of high schoolers *constantly* patting each other on the back for how nice and conversational and healthy they all are, if only the moderators would once and for all step up and get rid of anyone who dares suggest otherwise.

That's not really true. There is a lot of well-received criticism and suggestions here.

It's just many posts rely too much on hyperbole, melodrama, and insults for anyone who disagrees with them. The same points being made in those types of posts would be far better received if they were posted respectfully.

Also just a quick viewing shows "This Raid Tier is the Worst Yet" (is it, really?) but that aside, no one insulted that OP and the entire thread is agreement on some level from a quick skim. There are a lot of threads like this about different topics.

I think a good example is the recent Summoner discussions. (A topic near and dear to me as Summoner is presently my favorite job that I spend the most time on.)

A criticism of "Summoner has been overly simplified. It would be great if it had a tad more skill expression." would be received fine. In fact it has been with lots of support or at least respect for that position.

A criticism (and one recently removed by mods) like "People who like Summoner are braindead and bad! They can't handle other players being good! TRASH JOB!" will probably not be received as well.

this is usually the start.

"everyone hates this or that" is not generally accurate. things deteriorate from there simply because an OP refuses to budge from everyone disliking something when some people do actually like it. and the people liking it then get called shills or white knights which drags things down even further.
