They should also let us remove the staircases in large and medium houses to get more space in one floor.

That's a 3rd party tool- one that makes house decorating amazing and easy and has x, y, z axis placements- folks aren't supposed to share such recommendations

Considering Mister Foxclon's Neighborhood has showcased a couple of houses with features that could only have been accomplished with use of the tool (at least I'm not aware of any glitches that allow players to sink furnishings into basement floors and yet it's been done), they might as well add the tool functionality to the game so every player can have access regardless of platform.

Then we can start hoping they'll add furnishing resizing and 3-axis rotation. There have been so many times I've wished I could flip a furnishing on its side and it would be so nice to have furnishings that properly fit my characters. I'm not even thinking about my lalas. Some furnishings are oversized even for my Roe and other furnishings made larger would be immensely helpful in cutting down on the number of items used.

Yes!! All of this!! I hate the ugly ceilings and pillars and stock windows! Why not just allow us to make the house completely blank to start with? It would save all the annoying use of item space by not having to use partitions to cover everything!!! Also the wallpapers would look a lot better and be more usable to begin with. As it is if I want a "normal"
ceiling I have to float a ton of lofts or floor mats to do so... and on controller it isn't as easy and I'm on ps5..not PC so I don't have outside source options..
Just allowing us to start with a completely blank slate would open up housing on a whole new level for all of us!!
Let is pray it happens one day.. maybe in 7.0...

It's so sad. For some of us, housing is the only part of the game we are interested in. FFXIV has an extremely unique housing situation. Most other games have full instanced housing. Neighborhoods are super cool and I haven't seen them since Aion. It's just a shame that housing is a complete mess. I literally pay $15/month just to login and participate in a lottery every two weeks for a large, if there is one available to begin with.

The EU worlds are a good place right now for getting a large with all the plots just opened up through demolition. There's still no guarantee you'd win but your odds will be much better than they are on Siren.
