    Honestly the fact that modders have done this speaks volumes of either them being lousy or too proud to admit when they were wrong. Same applying to virtually every UI change they recently implemented in Endwalker that was deemed impossible.

    Seriously if they can't take mod works and implement them even if given for free, just outsource development of it. I find it incredibly strange how short the law leash is for such cases if every player would benefit from some of the stuff the community developed.

    Way to go to point out the obvious, what I was merely mocking here was the severe lack of Red Mage hats available to Viera (RDM hats are quite iconic hence why) due to either lacking knowledge, competence or prioritization. I am more than well aware that the perceived difficulty of this task does not match the actual requirements to pull off giving Viera (and Hrothgar) hats and helmets to wear.

    That said, if the reason for the lack of such is NOT them using the head/helmet element for their hair + ears and it is more of a thing of "we don't want horrendous clipping with the ears" then I have zero tolerance for this bullshit given the tails from Miqo and Au Ra clipping through capes they shouldn't, long hair clipping through collars when they shouldn't and god knows what other atrocities exist in that, especially given that modders of all people do a better job of making all of this work when CBU3 doesn't.

    Ver Raise needs to not interrupt Melee Combo. The number of times someone dies while I'm doing my combo and it feels weird making people wait for a quick res.
    RDM needs more mobility tools in general.

    Seconding this. It's weird that the RDM's dps gets extremely punished by someone else's mistake. I'm fine with losing some mana to help the party but throwing a whole melee combat away because someone else messed up feels terrible.

    Come 7.0 they either need to remove Verraise and Resurrection completely or give one to Black Mage regardless of it not fitting thematically. They just can't seem to balance around it whatsoever, which puts the Casters as a whole in a very awkward position. If it weren't for Black Mage being somewhat intimating to play, you'd never have a reason to touch Summoner or Red Mage. The DPS difference is staggering. Which would be fine... if it didn't make picking Black Mage a clear best choice.

    I say both Raises need to go because Resurrection was already nearly deleted this expansion if not for a last minute decision to keep up. It seems a foregone conclusion they'll remove it next expansion which will put Red Mage in an even worse spot if they insist on taxing it, especially if Summoner remains this easy to play.

    I dont think you really need to improve upon RDM mechanically, its in a very solid position kit wise at the moment

    its very easy to pick up and very satisfying to reach the upper limits

    the only issue is the res question

    Well, my only changes were Verraise and Reprise, the others are just me figuring out what they're going to add on the levels 91 - 100

    Reprise used to be interesting last expansion, but it's Scathe-tier in Endwalker. They changed its recast to a full GCD, which killed its optimization potential. Prior, it did more DPS than your spells, but less than your finisher combo. If they bumped Enchanted Reprise's potency (or reverted the recast change), it could be interesting again. A mobility tool that gives you damage, right up until you lose a melee combo (over the course of the fight) from it, then you lose damage after that. That's much more of a choice-enabler than the strict loss it is now.
