Holy are you a delusional bunny.
There are players from NA, AU, NZ and god knows where else logging in. or do you think that EU players ONLY play on those servers? FF 14 has a GLOBAL audience. BTW your mention of China was kinda funny, seeing as 5am EU time is 1:56pm their time.yeah there are 40 people from china logging in on sagittarius at 5 AM on a new world
Also: 5am EU time is 11pm in the US. Oops.
Something to consider, no? But here, this may help:

Is the definition of delusional. The login queues are literally fake, the servers slow down the logins on purpose to make it seem like the servers are full but they arent, that's the reason why at 5 AM on Sagittarius which is an absolute dead server that was open recently you get 30 people queues, yet it's 5 in the morning.
OH GOOD LORD I almost forgot, it is entirely possible that EU players are on at 5am, see, they can log in and play in the early hours when they are on vacation anytime they feel like. They get 4 weeks mandated annual leave per year, paid. Did you also know that if they dont take that leave, their employers will LITERALLY take their computers and laptops away and SEND them on leave?
They do.
We Aussies also get the same, 4 weeks paid annual leave ( mandated, which means its the LAW ) so we can stay up and play all night if we feel like it. So, no Im not surprised at all if people are on at 5am EU time. They get ample leisure time to enjoy themselves.
Works for me.

I mean.. the fact that no matter how many players in the ‘que’ when you log in does not matter to when exactly you will be logged in is already pretty telling it’s not exactly a ‘que’ lol. (I.e. the time required for the game to log you in at #8 vs #40 is the same). Took me mere weeks playing in my free trial days to notice this because for some reason the game always logs me in around certain point of the ’Prelude’ BGM when it repeats its 3rd set of arpeggios.
They can certainly (will) do better, hopefully.
I always figured that the login queue and your waiting time was all the players on the lobby server logging in at once, not just your server.
So the 30 in queue you see isn't only people in Halicarnassus, it's everyone waiting at the bus stop to get off at their respective stops. It just delivers everyone all at once.
Anyway, if you've ever experienced a world server crash and seen 1000+ people try to desperately log back in at the same time, you know why the queue is still engaged. Those 1000+ people all trying to get in at the same time have made the servers crash a second time.
god you are actually the biggest troll I've ever seenThere are players from NA, AU, NZ and god knows where else logging in. or do you think that EU players ONLY play on those servers? FF 14 has a GLOBAL audience. BTW your mention of China was kinda funny, seeing as 5am EU time is 1:56pm their time.

the fact you actually manage to come at me and tell me that people from australia, new zealand and even some parts of NA, log on a new european world at 5 AM (EU time), with 5 people in Limsa, all those people (that dont exist) are managing to create queues of 30+ people
just stop lmao you are making yourself look like an idiot
I logged in just now at 15:50 so 3:50 PM, and got no queue, I imagine it's all the australians and new zealanders being in bed lmao, oh wait there are literally none on Sagittarius all together

I'd have to dig hard to find it but I remember reading that the log in servers queue all log ins for a logical data center at the same time, not a single world.god you are actually the biggest troll I've ever seen

So hitting a queue when you're logging into a character on Raiden isn't out of the ordinary if that queue is also for all the players logging into Light data center worlds at that time.
It's helps if we understand how the log in servers actually function instead of jumping to outlandish conclusions because they feed a head canon that the game company is evil and out to screw over players in as many ways as possible. It feels like too many of us have been dealing with Electronic Arts and Activision-Blizzard for too many decades.
edit: here is a Lodestone notice written by YoshiP back during the EW launch mess that gives some details about login issues and what causes them.
https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...24153ef4405c13
There's mention of an overall logical data center queue controlling how many players can be waiting in queue at the same time coupled with a world specific queue that throttles how many players can enter a world at the same time to prevent systems overland and potential server crashes.
Make of it what you will. My head isn't in the mood to get into deep discussions with negative people who crap on things for the sake of promoting their negative head canons instead of trying to use some common sense.

And yet Activision/Blizzard has a queue per server and not a queue per battlegroup (back when they were a thing) so guess who's ahead ?I'd have to dig hard to find it but I remember reading that the log in servers queue all log ins for a logical data center at the same time, not a single world.

Also you cant tell me that this doesnt make the game look better even tho it's an actual lie, they literally are lying on the screen by telling you that the server is full, and when you arrive in the game there's 5 people in Limsa.
Remove the lie from the login screen about the servers being full, and then sure, until then, it's made to make people feel that the game has more population than it does.
They actually don't. Login servers are separate from game servers. Its why you can have issues like in swtor where you can't login or it shows the servers as down even though the servers are up and people are online and playing. I've had similar scenarios happen in WoW and ESO as well.
I think u just don't know how login servers work u just want to fight with people on the forums that is just thing to do as we all know the log in servers are for whole data center not just for one server. If you comment back to me I won't respond. And yet Activision/Blizzard has a queue per server and not a queue per battlegroup (back when they were a thing) so guess who's ahead ?

It's almost like that's what I just said
and ok buddy, adios, I dont care if you respond or not
