Deal with it dude they run away for a reason. Its part of the game.

I like when we kill the mob before it flees and then we get to heal and casually run to the area where the new mobs appear. I like that.
Why stop there? Let's fill the game with annoying stuff! If you don't like it, play something else!
It's called expressing criticism, and the last time I checked, SE wanted to hear such as long as it was constructive. So far, the vast majority of responses have been. If people were to take your grossly oversimplified take on situation like this to heart, nothing would have changed in game, and FFXIV would have shut down.
They suck.
Well, let me add my own criticism here.
I do in fact like the chase leves! They get predictable after a while, but they're pretty fun after you recognize it's going to be a chase leve. They also drag you around the map so you can see other stuff and can lead to one or two hilarious situations.
I remember this time recently in La Noscea where a mob ran around and underground while me and a friend were leve-linking. He died, and then subsequently I did (we were in over our heads regarding enemy level) but he never noticed the enemies were underground and was all huffing and puffing at it XD (the game is suitably clear when the enemy in your minimap is at a different Z-level, btw).
They aren't that bothersome, and is always a pretty surge of difficulty when the other mobs spawn because you runs the risk of getting overwhelmed.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who hates them. As said before, it was cool the first time when they ran off, but when it happens over and over again? It gets old very quickly.
I'm not big on the idea of mobs jumping me in the middle of a fight. The running gives me a chance to heal before going to face the extra mobs. While, yes, I'm all for a challenge, I don't see how this could work very well. (If you want to see what it would end up being like, try using an AoE with several mobs that aren't attacking around you and see how it goes. I should know since I learned to be more careful with Fire on my Thaumaturge.)
I do like the idea of it ending if you kill the mob before he finishes fleeing and getting a bonus for that.

Rise Against - TorchesThe angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting
I make all the ones before he runs away have around 5% hp. Then I kill the other two, and put bloodletter debuff on the one that runs away.
Then as he runs away... he slowly... dies... a painful... DEATH MWAHAHHA try running away again stupid b*$(%
If the mob is running away to get his friends, and you kill him before he gets his friends, you shouldn't have to fight his damn friends
