This should be FREE, Square Enix. Why do they insist on putting popular mounts after popular mounts behind shit no one wants to do or make it $30? Who are the developers who made this so expensive? After Cruise Chaser why did you do this again?

They do it because there are plenty of players who can and do pay for those expensive mounts. It is also not something that gives those players any discernible benefit in the game, so there is no worries about Pay-to-Win.

If a game must have a cash shop, then mounts is exactly the sort of things that should be sold there - looks nice, sells well, but nobody actually needs them.

Honestly, why do you even play this game if you’re poor? The devs work so hard to make all this content for free (plus purchase price) (plus subscription) that I wish I could buy them a coffee. Why not support the developers? This game is a luxury service. If you don’t have the money, don’t play. Also, you don’t have to buy it. It’s there because people want to have it. Why not let people do what they want? It doesn’t affect you in any way. We’re still better than WoW which has WoW Tokens. Oh, and unlike Blizzard (all the money goes to sex harassment cases), our money is for a good cause. That’s right: FF16. Did you play the demo? We did, and we all loved it. It’s going to be GOTY and possibly the GOAT. All that money will be worth it. If you don’t buy store mounts, that’s fine, but don’t complain when you run out of games to play.

So true. If you want content, you gotta pay for it. Our sub fee isn’t nearly enough to cover the cost of making a game as great as FF16.

Once again, like every time one of these threads come out. The new mounts and outfits sold on the store are made by a third party company, not CBU3. If there was no store, then the exclusive items on there would not exist.

Well... no, CBU3 does indeed make these outfits and mounts, most far in advance or prototypes for possible ingame rewards, however they are contracted with a seperate team in SE that operates the cashshop along with couple other companies for the China and Korea. So likely they just dig in a pool of aleady made mounts and toss them to the cash shop folks to put up whenever its time to add something. I suspect a certain yellow bud of ours might be involved with our possible Blu mount reward in 6.45, if we do indeed get one.

Yeah it's pretty sad honestly. I can understand emotes or meme mounts like the Fat Chocobo, but it's pretty depressing to see raid bosses being a store mount. Raid boss mounts should come from the raid full stop. Imagine if the Nier hair or Nier glam was locked behind a $30 paywall rather than the 24 man.

To give my opinion:
I am sad that this iconic raidpixel is introduced as a paying mount, the same thing that happened to cruise chaser,
I have never paid for a mount of a outfit every in this game and the only one I got was gifted to me by a friend for my birthday.

I continue this trend throughout all the games that I play,
So my viewpoint is naturally that I also do not support it.

I am sad about this and about ffxvi being locked to ps5 for a year
