I gave up on trying to play ranked PVP on Dynamis

I'm thinking about transfering to Primal or Crystal just because of that. Dynamis is a failure, Data Center travel murdered it entirely. There's barely any people on the cities and the housing districts look like ghost towns. Why does it matter to have a house if I don't have any neighboors? The only thing keeping me there is the people of my FC, which are really nice, but that may not be enough. I want players in my MMO, I don't like feeling like I'm playing a dead game.

Dynamis wont even start to have an active playerbase until 7.0 at the earliest, if that bothers you then you should probably transfer.

Sounds like you dont understand Dynamis. Adios! Many people prefer the smaller community it has to offer, less ERP venues infesting our party finder, less drama, less of a queue during prime time. DC travel takes 30 seconds, I don't find it to be a problem when I want to do daily roulettes. Sounds like a populated server is more your style if you want a vibrant community.

I have bad news for you, your neighbours in your primal/aether/crystal houses are just as non existent as they are on Dynamis. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen people in my FC wards in Shiro or Mist on Famfrit/Cactuar. The housing districts are also ghost towns because submarine farming FC bots with 8 houses per accounts decided to buy up all the real estate they could in FC wards, and as far as personal housing goes... Turns out most people just wanted to own a house for the clout, and ended up just not decorating it. Or they decorated it, and ignored it for 45 days - The 3 medium houses in my mist ward have now all been demolished for their second time in a row.

Dynamis has been a fascinating experiment. I came over from Primal with my main on day 1. Can't say I don't love it here. I do. It's got its problems. Alliance raids are near non-existent. My SO and I queue together as tank and healer and still have 30+ wait. Change to DPS, same, doesn't matter. And ranked CC? Yeah, OP right. Its non-existent. Also EVERYTHING on the marketboard is often 10x more costly than other data centers/servers.

Other than that I think its great. There are still plenty of people in cities and out in the world. Novice network is popping. I now have my third house (ive moved three times) because housing is still relatively easy here but filling up rapidly.

Party finder is full of people needing help with dungeons and MSQ which im pretty sure is quite odd. But groups fill fast with players willing to help. Always someone in Novice network needing help and they often get it from 3, 4 or more people. Its a super strong tight knit small community where you see the same names and faces all the time, and I love it. I don't want to play any other way.

100% it's good in concept, but when you're trying to build a server community, maybe you shouldn't give people the ability to queue on servers that aren't their home world. Really any kind of restriction or bonus to staying on your DC.

That's my issue as well. I don't want to have to constantly leave to get things done because their game is dead on my DC. I'd be fine going somewhere else because this experience is lesser, but I have friends and an FC. I don't want to abandon them, but this place is dead. If I wasn't constrained, I would be gone from this place.

This is unironically an understatement. Starting a brand new FC is harder than ever when nobody is home.
