    Unable to login to 1.0 character - only option is "Cancel appearance customization?"

    I recently discovered my 1.0 character apparently still exists on a totally different datacentre to where I play (Balmung... whereas I'm in EU). However when I try to login with it, it gives me the 1 time option to customize my character, but doesn't let me proceed any further. The only option available leads to a popup that says "Cancel appearance customization?" which cancels the entire process.

    I initially wondered if it was because Balmung was congested, but according to the server status Balmung is currently marked as a Standard server with "Creation of New Characters Available".

    Is there anything else that would cause this? Can 1.0 characters that haven't logged in since 2.0 still login today (I mean the character is there and it lets me get half-way so I assume it should be possible, else they wouldn't show the character at all)?

    What happens if you attempt to change the name to a name that is already taken.

    For example, Y'shtola Rhul is a restricted name which cannot be used, attempt to use it and see if it gives you an error (Name Taken Error) or the Cancel prompt?

    Also, instead of clicking the Check mark, press the Enter key after selecting a name that is not taken.

    Next, I would select a different starting class, such as Conjurer (different starting City), it should allow you to save and continue after setting a name, press Enter.
    If nothing helps, try the process using a Gamepad (skips the Check mark button and uses Confirm by default).
    I've had these issues myself, sometimes the Check (Tick) button does nothing on PC.

    Thanks for the suggestions, sadly the result is the same, clearly something in the client is preventing it from being submitted (I can create any other new character fine):

    - Use Y'shtola Rhul as name - no name taken error, only the same cancel prompt
    - Selecting a different class - same cancel prompt
    - Pressing enter key after selecting a name - doesn't do anything for me
    - Gamepad - same cancel prompt (funny I get the same cancel prompt from pressing both A and B on the xbox controller)

    We would like to apologize for the issue you are experiencing. However, it seems that you are using the name "Y'shtola Rhul" and this would be a NPC within the game. Unfortunately, you would be unable to use this name and this would be why you are experiencing this issue. We would suggest that you attempt to use a different name so that you will be able to complete the creation process.

    I am not, I am using the name "Mintale Sara", as shown in the screenshots and video in the first post.

    We would like to apologize for the previous response. Have you tried to change the name to a different name to see if it allows you to use another one as well?
