Why would Castrum Novum itself be removed in 2.0? Only a part of it is 7th Umbral related, and there's no reason for it to be removed unless Mor Dhona is being removed, which I highly doubt.

7th Umbral Era content is being removed come 2.0, but I wouldn't consider Castrum Novum itself as 7th Umbral specifically. Rather, it's a regular stronghold with 7th Umbral story put it in.

Well, isn't the whole purpose of Castrum Novum to be a fortress for the lunar transmitter? That would make it specific to the 7th Umbral Era arc.

I guess it just strikes me as odd that the Garleans would keep it around when they're going to be building what seems to be their main base in the next zone to the south. If it does stay, it will probably just be a minor outpost. It would be pretty neat though if it was left abandoned, similar to what Chard said.
