    Firstly, you need to unlock the Adventurer Squadron in your Grand Company, specifically via this quest.

    You then need to spend time working on the squadron to be able to gain your promotion to First Lieutenant, and then Captain. This page goes into detail about what needs to be done, as it's too complex to mention here sadly.

    I am second Lieutenant, But it is not going any further I find it rather boring and tedious. LOL
