    Augmented Hellhound Weapons are not worth stress

    This post is more toward those who are stressed with the grind to get the commendations for the weapon particle effect.

    If you are struggling to climb, do not pay attention to the posts of an "average player" who can get crystal and diamond. The fact of the matter is that Ultimates, which also have exclusive particle effect weapons, are entirely skill-driven (with little exception).

    CC has a factor of luck associated with it, and just because one player climbed fast with a job, does not change that at certain times and certain days, it is easier to climb with your current skill level than at other times.

    I tried playing meta jobs, and it did help me rank up. That being said, many of the games just come down to who has more meta jobs than the other. In most games that I have a DNC in my team, I lose, period.

    It is very likely that SE will add another PvE weapon that outshines the design of the hellhound weapon. What I felt was a bad strategy was to incentivize PvP with these weapons only to lock them behind high rank.

    Ranks in PvP are usually used as a form of MMR bracket typing. However, we have to deal with bronze and unranked showing up in gold matches which is atrocious. When we have a group in an MMR bracket it is easier to determine what I can do better.

    When you get someone unranked at my gold 2 promotional game and they don't know the buttons because they didn't play casual mode and drip-feed 4v5 fights, there is NOTHING I can do. NOTHING. I can't focus on "what mistakes I did", in an absolutely outnumbered steamroll because I got the bad unranked player.

    So even if you can carry your games, you still need the RNG to be in your favor that the games are "carryable". Once, you establish a >50% win rate, you need to grind games for massive amounts of hours when the tier levels are completely arbitrary.

    You need 4 ranks of gold for what? 4 ranks of diamond for what? If you can win the total number of stars in that rank (12 games for gold, diamond, etc.)- why would you de-rank? It is arbitrary. You have already proved you can win that number of games in gold etc. Now you have RNG as the factor by which you rank.

    Don't even get me started with the auto-scripts. If you have completed your series malmstones, haven't hit the diamond for the commendation, and are stressed to hell, it's ok to quit.

    The reward system is flawed and that is on the developer's side to see these things out. Usually, the best reward systems allow a player to obtain an exclusive appearance for a long period of time, but SE has made these weapon and armor models for people who might not even play the game in the near future. Just wasted assets in the game that is denied for most of the player base on RNG or based on the length of the season.

    Unobtainables are exclusively the worst rewards in MMOs because it punishes you for your circumstances in life, irrespective of skill or anything else. Ultimate fights are always available but not these PvP rewards. Don't let these developers make you resent the game.

    I look at my 3 yr old son and am like "he will never own a Hellhound Attire Coffer". So don't worry about it. Just chill. The funny thing is, I feel like the final relic weapons are going to outshine the augmented hell hounds and they are going to be tomestone-only requirements .

    They make you upset via the grind. Wait how upset you'll be when some random PvE weapons outshines the hellhound weapons. I know because I look at the DSR GNB weapon and the augmented hell hound and I think to myself "Man if I was a GNB main, I would have no reason to go after these hellhound weapons" lol.

    Imo the only weapons I think are worth it are WAR (barely, because the blade is small), SAM, RPR, RDM - and MAYBE NIN.

    Everything else has better models w/ better particle effects.

    dude i have been TELLING this to people and some of them are conviced that im full of crap, lol i think that rather then wasting effort trying to keep ranked on life support with *rewards* just get rid of ranked, its not worth it and it will never be worth it.

    i know you said this post is for peeps who are stressed but i cant exactly keep my peace when you characterize ranked as just dependent on meta, ranked does indeed have a luck factor but thats contingent upon skill not the job as for your comment on DNC one of the T100 is a dnc main and a damn good one too, i get it truly i do and i agree no reward is worth the stress but lets not just condemn rank, casual is just as bad

    ranked doesnt really need any incentive, but im glad they are putting in rewards tho i do think each rank should have a bit of something to drive people to want to climb tho

    Lmao dude i cannot believe you went and said "Not all dancers are bad, there's this dancer that's t100 and they're very good"
    Okay not all dancers are bad but the number of dancers that are far outweigh the good ones, i would know as i have killed ALOT of dancers with little to no issue.
    also hes right about ranked having a meta, you may not like it but its the truth.

    i think you might be laboring under the misconception of my post as it was about player skill not class/job, your comment can be used for any class to substitute and please lets converse like adults and not degrade ourselves with internet lingo (Lmao, Lol, ect)

    to further explain if youre saying a class is bad because an X number of players are bad but out that number there are good players then it refutes the point that DNC is a bad job

    1. you responded to him basically saying "Whenever i get a DNC on my team we lose period." with basically "Not all dancers are bad." and i responded to THAT with "They might as well be all bad because theres so few good Dancers." so yes, i under stood you perfectly fine.
