"Alpha Legends" not taking savage seriously

A trend I'm noticing on Aether PF is alpha legends joining prog pfs and just... playing around.

Don't get me wrong, they are a cut above the average PFer, they do consistent dps, and rarely fail mechanics and usually don't cause wipes.

However their attitude is making my blood boil.

They act as if savage is below them and everyone else in the party who are trying to prog and clear the fight quickly are also below them.

They are extremely rude (of course, making sure to never break ToS with what they say) and very passive aggressive, saying things like "I never watch hector guides" or asking very obvious questions to single out a person who made a mistake.

They create a really uncomfortable pf enviroment and often times the PF disbands after a few pulls because it's exhausting to play with these kinds of people.

if you're burned out from doing an ultimate and just join PFs to mess around with people I implore you, please stop. The rest of us are trying to get into serious raiding.

Usually don't see any sort of attitude from people with ultimate weapons tbh. If anything, they would understand the role of patience and learning more than anyone.

Savage is kind of a joke and anyone who has done savage + done ultimate in the same season knows it is basically people following guides until they figure out how to move to an exact space at the right time. The people that legit pathfind savage fights basically treat the game like a job. In some cases it IS part of their job.

FYI when I say that it is a joke, it doesn't mean it isn't difficult content. This is more like it kind of apes on the same design choices of past games and has all the same issues in terms of execution in terms of the PF. It's not really about personal skill but people tend to believe it is somehow.

nah why would anyone need to buy a TOP clear when you can grief p6 PFs by dying 30 times, see P6 once and get the log and insta-leave then get carried by saus while getting a 2.

always look up heavenly/alpha legends and see what exactly their clear looks like

the real good players are the ones who cleared ucob in 4.1 before all this mess with ACRs, PF terrorism, static drama

ive never met any myself cos i literally never touch pf i avoid it like the plague

best way to raid in this game: stay in a bubble (i.e. your FC and static) and ignore the wider raiding """"community"""" and yeah PF is the one way to quickly get exposed to all the dumb shit that goes on in the raiding """"community""""

you do lose quite a lot of motivation to raid when you realize how prevalent ACRs, bought clears, outright cheats, drama, "unethical" behavior like joining statics just to get a p6 log to apply to another static etc. are, and imho it's gotten worse and worse which is why a lot of people stick to stormblood/heavensward/ARR groups where everyone has logs from at least since Alphascape, raiding boomers sorta but it's a good way to insulate yourself from the ShB/EW drama.

anyways this game's pug scene has imo gotten so bad it's like radioactive tumor, it's literally night and day between pugs and statics. every time i try pugging it's like impossible to get anything done because people are so upset with each other

not everyone has mental fortitude and mood is actually important to raiding. you want the best raid environment, you need to be calm and collected and play with players at the same skill level. one or two bad players really just ruin the entire static, but one or two top players berating others causes the exact same issue. also you can't have too many neurotic people, you can have like maybe one person with outgoing adhd max, definitely no one with anxiety, can't have more than one natural leader, etc. the mental and personality game is prob far more important than skill so yeah OP's concerns are legit. that being said, it's PF you're naturally getting all the junk, you wanna pug and not deal with these issues? join one of those pugging linkshells/discords where you're not committed to strict static schedules, but you play with a pool of people who sorta know each other.

side note: avoid people who are neurotic/anxious like the plague. I literally have never had any good experience raiding with them. If someone says "sry i panicked" more than twice in a lockout just leave. they will screw up once, start panicking and then get anxious and can't think straight for the rest of the night. like, holy shit, it's so bad it's unreal it's the only personality type where i can literally precisely track how their emotions are affecting their performance honestly this is one of the few things that set me off and if i ever get paired with someone like that i'll go joker mode LOL. i unironically would rather raid with someone who's constantly fighting with me or even someone who's extremely terrible at the game but doesn't panic than someone who panics 24/7
