Maybe, but sadly i think the issue requires a complete rework IMO. That is because Savage content feels like the only battle content with a system that is built for players with multiple characters that specialize in 1 class each in mind, while this game mainly accomodates to doing everything on 1 character.
Well P11 is different since now you can get the chest piece, which I would assume is a bigger draw than another head/boot/glove piece. Even if that doesn't fix it, this still sounds more like a flaw with loot distribution than a necessity to limit players from re-clearing the content in any order.
I completely agree here. That is why I believe the system itself would need an entire re-work (which probably won't happen). If you think about it, the current system lets you gear 1 job in a very reasonable amount of time, but many people still complain about gearing as a whole. The recent changes still won't be enough, and 7.0 will add additional jobs to the mix. Savage is built with many characters -> 1 job instead of 1 character -> many jobs.
And theoretically, if you and 7 other people were insane enough to do it, you could technically "gear" an entire job to max ilvl week 1. You wouldn't be able to get all the tome pieces you wanted for BiS though. With the recent change to the drop system, if you were insane enough to do splits with 7 alt accounts in a static, you can now get every piece of gear/accessory guaranteed. You could then use your tomes pre-savage to buy a ring and upgrade with the coating from turn 2, and you can also grab a head/boot/gloves from tomes (if Bis) and upgrade with twine from turn 3 to replace one of the savage pieces. Boom, you have max ilvl week 1 XD. While a case of "this probably will never happen", the system already allows for you to gear insanely quick with the correct methods.
