The dude has I think 4 known accounts active. I don't think he is particularly attached to said accounts so if one gets banned he just cancels the subscription to that account and makes another.

Personally I'd love to see one of his threads pop up and no one is responding so it's just his alts bumping it to no avail.

All you need to do is reply with anything other than the topic at hand . Random facts , goofy images , terrible puns/dad jokes, something utterly random . Who knows they may get bored if the responses are never hooked by the bait replies and just filled with anything other than.

Even worse, instead of jumping at each other throat, answer seriously, with argumented discussion. It doesn't happen much, but I've seen it here, someone creating an obviously troll or super angry post, and people taking the time to discuss every point seriously, while ignoring the trolls, and they ended leaving. But I guess asking people here to have a nuanced opinion is too much.

I'm not a leader except when leadership is lacking. We are totally lacking leadership (moderation) right now so if you wanna follow...starting now what I'm doing is just fighting my nature and not even going to crack a joke in one of these threads.

I'd welcome others to do the same. I know i have participated in one or another making fun of it but 3 or 4 new crap threads a day is now old because they went the way of quantity > quality.

Sadly I don't have much faith that people can stop taking the bait but if a miracle happens I'll be quite proud of everyone.

considering it was a long time wisdom that you do not feed the trolls. my guess is, people forgot or cannot resist posting in threads that are obviously bait.

I blame the complete lack of any form of effective forum moderation. quality is hard to produce, but some people obviously have an endless load of.. lets say non-quality.. inside that they have to spew somewhere for the attention.

personally just happy I do not have their life...

Not in Summer Games Fest, but I'm hoping the Western release of EDF 6 is coming in August.
