Horrible job design. Horrible 2-minute meta.

Horrible QA. Bugs everywhere. Hotfixes every other microsecond.

Horrible post-launch story. Boring characters like Zero. Boring Void story. Even the actual 6.0 story was controversial and in retrospect was a plot full of holes and horrible pacing.

Raids are mediocre despite two Ultimates. DSR was fine, but TOP is horribly designed, with the 2-minute variance feeding to the misery. Savages are mostly boring with a few standouts like 10S. Pacing in Savage fights is atrocious, and on many fights it feels like a mindless grind to get the prog spot again. And several are just carbon copies of previous fights like P11S vs E11S.

Island Sanctuary is a spreadsheet simulator. It's Finance Investment Simulator 2023 instead of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. Is it content if you have to choose between opening up Excel and typing some formulas or copying the Discord's recommendations and then putting it in game? Only reason why it even takes more than 2 or 3 minutes each week is because the UI in Island Sanctuary is atrocious.

Criterion is fun, but no one does it because they cannot design incentives at all. Even if you want to do it no one else does.

Dungeons are as boring as usual. Trials are lame with long downtimes of nothing happening. People only like Golbez because it doesn't suck as much.

Orthos is literally the same old deep dungeon unless you are doing solo runs. Zero innovation. And if you solo it's a far easier, dumbed down version of PotD/HoH.

EW Relic is the lamest relic by far. There is zero accomplishment in getting them.

Endwalker is the perfect game for people who do not want to play the game.

Honestly the only reason I'm still here is because it has the best, uh, cosmetics mods of any game on the market.

Funniest thing about threads like these is that you have to pay the sub to use the forum. I'm sure things will change eventually though.

Sure, but it seems strange that a few of the most vocal critics never seem to mention the positive aspects of the current game that keep them playing.

It would be nice to see them talking on occasion about those things they feel have been well done. Expressing what we are enjoying is also important information for the developers.

The game's aesthetics + roulettes help me wind down after work or before sleep, even if they'd be a bit too dull for any other purpose. And maybe the 5% of friends who still play. That's... honestly about it.

(Now, if there were just some lasting midcore content to progress at my own pace over the weekends...)

They're not obligated to lol. Criticism isn't suddenly invalid if it's not accompanied by praise.

The aesthetics are definitely better than certain other MMOs (*cough* WoW), and big agree with the friends bit. Playing games with my friends can make even a dumpster fire of a game actually fun.

Dude, the patches and the likes is public knowledge and up for public display, you can easy compare 5.0 and 6.0, also you do not need to have completed Eureka og Bozja or whatever to be up to date, those quest and content lines is just optional.

Oh yes let me talk about whether In N Out burgers taste better than McDonald's despite never ever eating any burgers from them.
