I linked you why I thought it was a clone. I did not compare names, I compared mechanics.Interesting point.
On the same note, WoW's Rogue sounds like an FFXI clone Thief to me, WoW's Warrior sounds like an FFXI clone Warrior to me, WoW's Warlock sounds like an FFXI clone Summoner to me, WoW's Priest sounds like an FFXI clone White Mage to me, WoW's Mage sounds like an FFXI clone Black Mage to me, WoW's Hunter sounds like an FFXI clone Ranger to me, and WoW's Paladin sounds like an FFXI clone PLD/BRD to me.
I guess since they came out first, all others must be a copy, right?

always looking for good people.
So you know
http://www.famitsu.com/news/201206/24016883.htmlWhy, what has been decided to retire voluntarily?
Tanaka : Suffering from incurable diseases and Tanaka fact, there also aspects physical condition, I was allowed to make a decision this time. So it does not bother to go to our players and staff, and I have to put a buttoned at the timing is not somewhere I had expected. Sometimes it is you want to go back to development as a creator of one site, and asked to retire also.
He been looking sick for years so it could be true he have a incurable diseases.

people are selfish and uncaring Tanaka have made bad idea for FFXIV but overall his idea was that made us want to play. I know that i read every tanaka interview and everyone of his idea was great the only issue is the company give them bad servers and the crystal tools sucked something he could not control i don't think tanaka have much say on what he can use lol. Overall tanaka was great and i blame ffxiv fail on Crystal tools that really the only thing that let this game down and tanaka old ways of not talking to the players but in ffxi he did start talking to the players.
I hope for the best

Hmm, well ever since 14 began development they've been sharing assets and ideas.
*cough* Vertical Conflux = Aetherite *cough*
I bet we'll see Geomancer in some form in 14 soon enough.
When this expansion comes out, I'll think about visiting old Vana'diel...
Also doesn't the Ex Pack title sound alot like Hydelin? You know the region we inhabit in 14... lol?

Glad to see the game get some much needed content. I'll play both regardless XI is still my baby.
Hey guys here's the craziest thought.
Tanaka knew that his bosses had given him too little time and resources to make FF14 a proper game, but if he had done the best he could, the game would have constantly been stuck in limbo. It would be "just good enough". Not bad enough for it to make SE take drastic measures (like a version 2.0), but also not good enough for it to draw a decent amount of players to it.
So Tanaka sacrificed his entire career to make the game so bad that SE would *have* to wake up and throw all the resources that were needed at it, and thus creating the fantastic game that 2.0 will be!
He is a true savior! Our Jesus Christ!
What? It could be true!
Hello!
I thank you very much for taking interest in everything FINAL FANTASY related and some very exciting news has been coming out of the Vana'fest. I do regret, though, that we need to lock this thread as it is a bit off topic from FFXIV and a few posts have been a bit off colored. We may need to remove some of the posts from this thread, but I am going to leave it visible so that our teams can review your suggestions.
Thank you again for all the support you have offered and we look forward to more exciting announcements!
