Hey guys here's the craziest thought.

Tanaka knew that his bosses had given him too little time and resources to make FF14 a proper game, but if he had done the best he could, the game would have constantly been stuck in limbo. It would be "just good enough". Not bad enough for it to make SE take drastic measures (like a version 2.0), but also not good enough for it to draw a decent amount of players to it.

So Tanaka sacrificed his entire career to make the game so bad that SE would *have* to wake up and throw all the resources that were needed at it, and thus creating the fantastic game that 2.0 will be!

He is a true savior! Our Jesus Christ!

What? It could be true!
