What happened to the Community Reps and Moderators on here?

I was wondering lately if I should make a topic about this, but honestly the situation seems rather confusing due to their almost complete absence on these forums.

Did something happen during major expansions over the years? Does anyone here have some clear idea?

Did our negativity drive everyone off? Seems like Reddit & Twitch gets more attention than over here (or it seems like it).

I have also noticed some problems. Nothing egregious yet. Perhaps a moderator could just chime in and let us know they're alive and well.

They remove pages and threads occasionally. They just silently watch. Any communication from them would just get argued to death anyways. Best thing they can do is stay silent.

It's been like this for a very long time. So let's break down the reasons.

1. If they tried to argue with everyone here, they would spend all day trying to make all the negative nancies here see reason and have a constructive debate. Debates recently have felt more constructive, but in the past they have not been remotely constructive criticisms.
2. They probably don't want to suppress honest opinions or anything. Moderators often end up over-moderating and the truth is most things don't need moderating. Just the rare, really extreme stuff, like the one that was deleted a few days ago.
3. The industry moved away from forums to social media such as twitter, facebook and instagram and that is obviously where the community team puts more of their focus.
4. The developers are Japanese, so most of the developers that would check here for feedback are probably reading the Japanese forums, not the English forums.
5. I have seen GMs moderate so maybe they check when someone reports it as a ticket in the game.

Trolls and necro-posting makes it largely a waste of time to actually have civil discussion amongst regular users.

It would be a waste of billable man-hours to pay someone to sift through that.

Devs need to invest in better forum infrastructure/policing if they want this to be more of a thing.

I will second this. Seen a lot of necros over the last week and it getting annoying.

These forums are just a zoo that has absolutely no keepers. It's likely that they just don't care about the feedback here, especially as previously mentioned with this being an english forum.

The feedback on these forums, especially in certain threads is devoid of much productive debate or useful suggestions in general. "You don't agree with me? You must be a troll. You must just be bad at the game. Your opinion isn't even worth being considered!" Or, in a lot of cases just people leaving complaints, and not following them up with a potential solution. They're just going to look at these threads and go, "Wow. These English players have serious problems."

If it takes overmoderation for them to start considering our most legitimate issues or suggestions, than I say do it. It beats our current system where we're basically shouting into a void.

It's like if they wanted to make a point, or push a view.
But it's been days, it'll subside before they decide to push old threads again.
