    Is there no equivalent to the /me emote from FFXI?

    Me and my friends used that all the time, much more so than the built in emotes. If you don't remember, in FFXI typing "/me says hello to the goblin." would create an emote, in the chat log, that says

    "Felix Trapper says hello to the goblin."

    Sometimes.. in fact, oftentimes, I want to create my own emote to describe something unique or specific.. but I can't seem to find out how to do this.

    I hope this isn't just another brick in the wall of removed features from FFXI ;/

    Felix Trapper waits anxiously for an answer.

    /emote works too i think.

    and wasn't it the same in ffxi? That was like the first emote i tried in this game, as if it came naturally.

    Awesome! Thanks for the replies . . and actually I think I was mistaken, it was /em in FFXI as well, wasn't it? I guess I am just dyslexic now :O

    Yes, it was /em in FF11 as well.

    You can also add "motion" after an emote to only get the animation without it appearing in the log in both of the games.
