Isn't they reworked PVP to get away from the frustration? And now they do this again?

Instead of adding new stuff to buy with Trophy Crystals.
Can people in charge of the PVP wake up and start listening?

Add something like relic-for-PVP with 50,000 trophy crystals to get the new glowing weapon, more people will play both ranked and casual to solve both problems.

Right now, I've no reason to touch Crystal ranked again for the 3rd time, while throwing all the trophy crystals into the bin.

Knowing the RNG from ranking and uncertainty to get the glowing weapon token, made me "LESS" motivated to do CC PVP.

Wake the fuck up to whoever in charge of this PVP.

On the contrary, there is nothing limited to top 100. You can reach diamond rank 5 and get the same token as someone on the top 100 leaderboard.

It is entirely possible for a very average player to reach Diamond rank within a week or two if you take 5-10 minutes of your time after every 3-4 games to critically think about what you personally did wrong during a loss and what you personally did well during a win (do not focus on other players' performance).

You can even use this forum (even though its mostly used for complaints) to ask for advice and people will be quite amenable to parting with some valuable information that could potentially help you increase your win rate.

focus on what you personally did.

don't give that kind advice to people when its 10% personal skill and 90% pure luck.
It does not help them.

a much better advice is; Read your tool tips > learn your kit > set up the best hotbar for you > practice in casual mode until you feel ready.
anything beyond that is not going to help them at all.

I agree with you. I think the dev. want more people to participate in Ranked including retired players from old Seasons pushing to Diamond at least, improving CC Ranked population. But you know what? If you want that not-very-shiny weapon you have to get to Crystal tier, if you just stay lazy in Diamond, you will have to participate in 2 seasons (Garlandtools database provided that we need 2 Commendation Crystals for 1 weapon). So with a stay in Diamond, you have to wait 4-5 months for a weapon that is immediately replaced by new Primal/Relics weapons after that long time. Even in Crystal/t100+ tier, sadly, you still have to wait for an entire patch for that reward. Do you think many people have time and patience playing at specific times for that "Reward System"??? I don't think so, it's week 3 and the queue already getting longer.

For veteran/crystal tier players like me, it's easy to get back Diamond/Crystal rank because we have carryable potential in many ways. But to get to Diamond for average skill players, it's still a nightmare for sure. For Casual players I don't think they can get past Gold, yeah you can get Dia with luck but the road for you to walk to Dia if you just rely on Luck is miserable. Then you have to wait few months after some patch notes for that "become OLD/OUTDATED" weapons.

I do feel this is in answer to pvp ranked veterans that have been whining for more rewards specific to ranked besides plates and titles, arguing that it would magically address how inbred and low affluence ranked has become.

Obviously this was gonna bring the other side of the crowd that don't want this to be a thing, which tbh I understand completely. As you said SE specifically removed most unique big rewards from top100 (or higher ranked pvp or whatever) when reworking the system for the reasons you evoked, so I can understand that people now feel betrayed when they take a step back after taking 2 steps forward.

Perhaps they could have offered 1 of those tokens for bronze to gold, 2 from plat to crystal, and the additional 2 for top rankers... bleh.

They should have taken the old Hellhound approach where any rank can gain some currency and the higher ranks gain way more each Season allowing people to eventually get them. I don't mind them as they are now, but it would have been more fair overall.
