Oh see there we go!If you want to hear the mount BGM, don't toggle.
I agree 100% with the OP. Luckily, Rina is not a developer and this is being implemented in 2.0

I'm glad to see they're adding this in.If you want to hear the mount BGM, don't toggle.

I do like the Chocobo theme, but it gets old after a while.
Rise Against - TorchesThe angels dance like feathers float, they're here to see and to be seen,
The clock strikes two, the music slows and each one slowly dons their wings,
Once outside they all pair off and hand in hand they leave
But I'm still waiting, yeah, and I'm still waiting

Chocobo BGM has been a tradition of FF game, and I surely hope that SE didn't change that, even if it's only on/off switch
And countering this
Personally, I feel like we're insulting the guy
So, if you're turning off the mount BGM, you're not insulting him?
Nice double standard

It's no double standard. While some musicians work off of a single track being their defining moment in their career, most want people to hear everything they do. Music is an art, a means of expression. If you're only expressed via one mode, do you ever get your message out? Does Rina Inverse ever come out with just one utterance, one sentence to describe your entire being? You think Michelangelo finished the Sistine Chapel and only wanted people to see that one example of his work?Chocobo BGM has been a tradition of FF game, and I surely hope that SE didn't change that, even if it's only on/off switch

When I write music, I show it off. I'm proud of what I did.
However, I'll level with you. Instead of a toggle, give me and those that enjoy musical diversity a mount that has no music tied to it that just loops the zone's BGM.
Either one works for me. Just give me music.

I think it would be nice if it were like FFXI. The chocobo music plays for a few loops when you first get on the chocobo, then the zone music kicks in.
Config options -> Audio
Mount music options:
"Repeat"
"Play once then revert to zone music
"Never play mount music".
That's what we need.

I belive there was a past few threads on this. If memory serves the devs aren't apposed to a Mount music toggle, but they are unable/time investment to do so in 1.XX.
While i have always loved the Chocobo music standard, too much of it tends to kill the luster. I very much enjoy the Gobbue music but don't always like riding something i can't really see infront of. I would at some point enjoy using that track on my dear Chocobo or hearing the music of the land/area i'm in.
As a possible compromise, what if in 2.0 the chocobo music plays but after maybe 1 or 2 loops it fades out to the area soundtrack? After all, if you've got a long distance to ride it could be nice to change things up after a bit.
