It's a creepy, and obsessive fetish that some people have to try and take some form of high-ground in a forum argument.

In that, if you have never touched the fight or cleared the fight, or ones of a similar nature then it's difficult to actually speak first hand about the topic itself

Your insinuation that one needs to be "qualified" is also known as gatekeeping. I and others will discuss what I choose whenever we choose to do so. You do not tell anyone what they may or may not discuss on, guess what, a public forum. Also, using dps numbers as a blunt object to beat people over the head with, is a classic example of the kind of toxicity in a parser culture. Thanks again, for proving what I have been saying.

Ill say this for the records. i have no logs as I dont, and will not ever, install any kind of third party software on my system such as ACT. I see those as cheating, especially with the other plugins that call out mechanics.

, and the implication that the bug, or a bug has - This would stand true for any game or any piece of content within a game. Still though, regardless of this it is pretty weird if the first inclination is to look up peoples' logs in the first place.

I just simply stated that certain statements and inferences are difficult to make (regardless of which stream of content this is), hence why people would lean to an argument from authority - If you feel personally called out by this fact, and if you feel personally attacked by it then that is a you problem. It was a blanket comment to anyone that would feel curious as to why people would do such a thing.

You asked "What are people doing poking into peoples logs anyway, what business is it of yours?" - I answered this question, if you didn't like the answer, then this again, is a you problem. It doesn't change the fact that this is why people do such a thing.

Actually, it goes to prove SEs case on parsers. The claim is that "we use them to improve" blah blah...yet what do we see? Those same dps numbers being used as a tool to harass and embarrass other people via this forum. If you have a parser you are meant to keep it to yourself.

Using parser numbers to harass others is in fact validation of what YoshiP has said about how they are misused..so that in turn lends weight to the idea and belief that they should not be allowed AT ALL.

So..if using parsers like ACT is to improve your own gameplay...then there isnt any need to go poking noses into someone else logs.

Wrong. I have raided up incl Mythic back in WOW over eight years. I dont do it anymore. The experiences remain the same, regardless of what MMO.

It is harassment. It is misuse of logs. And its proof to me that maybe YoshiP is right and they need to ban ACT completely.
