As best I understand it, the bug occurs primarily due to how close players with the Flare stack debuffs are when the mechanic begins. Although, as that clip shows, it can still happen. Regardless, it's an overflow error. Instead of cleansing the debuff when completing the mechanic, it's resetting the counter.

I do like how they say, "which makes the next mechanic difficult to clear." The next mechanic is borderline impossible without intentionally eating an Exflare dodge which will kill any non-tank without some hefty shielding. And if you do live, you're getting a 30% (or higher) damage down for 30 seconds.

This is the premiere content and there's a borderline game-breaking bug that makes it near impossible to complete the subsequent mechanic. There absolutely should be a "huge fuss" as it should be top priority.

Imagine when FFXVI releases and one of the bosses can just randomly kill you due to a bug, making it near impossible to progress further in the game. Are you really going to defend that as "no need to make a huge fuss?" I get the whole "people are too negative" but now you're so far in the opposite extreme. It's okay to criticise the multi-billion dollar company. Their feelings won't be hurt.
