Or just let Koji do an English stream at the same time. As Talera said "It gives the side that hears about it later the impression that they don't matter as much."I mean the slides have english on them and that's the core of whats needed to know, half the time there is very little said when they talk between them and its not hard to use the discord for unofficial translation. Whenever they've done dual language it really drags on the pacing so i don't mind if they stick to Japanese only. No different to the upcoming blue protocol they are doing live letters too and they have commented on that they will just have english notes later on.

You mean Kate or Ami as Koji hasn't been part of XIV's translation team since about halfway through the SB patches. Also live without notes translation isn't as easy as you might think it is.
Whoever it is, that's not the point. All they need to do is sit down with Yoshida and whoever else beforehand and run through the slides and make note of Yoshida's comments. Im sure the English Localization team can run the demos of the EXs and Savages and make their own jokes/interact with chat.

You do know that's what the community teams do during their own streams, right? Go over recent things while also cracking jokes and running Exes and what have you with the players. The translators aren't going to have jokes with the chat during an LLP. Also I wouldn't even want to considering some of the crap both twitch and YouTube chat spew. They would need to do all of this the day before as again live translation isn't as easy as you want to think it is. And they don't have a script they follow, just an outline.Whoever it is, that's not the point. Ok but what do community streams have to do with anything? I'm talking about a 2nd LL simulcasted in English and I think you misunderstood some things firstly I don't mean running the whole EX and I mean when they do a little peak up to the first mech to show off the new fight coming. Secondly, there was a / in "jokes/interact with chat." as in-jokes and interacts with chat what Yoshida does both in a LL.You do know that's what the community teams do during their own streams, right? Also, I do know hard live translation is but here's the thing it's part of their job. but I didn't even bring up live translation but translating before hand.
