They did actually specify either - Which would imply that the logs are hidden or that they are grey logs.

It's a valid point to an extent - In that, if you have never touched the fight or cleared the fight, or ones of a similar nature then it's difficult to actually speak first hand about the topic itself, and the implication that the bug, or a bug has - This would stand true for any game or any piece of content within a game. Still though, regardless of this it is pretty weird if the first inclination is to look up peoples' logs in the first place.
