Why is SE not addressing FF14 freezing?

Just decided to test the game again after the hot fixes done today on June 6th and still the game is freezing on things such as tabbing out/clicking off screen and then coming back or just trying to copy text in game. This issue has been happening since the first 6.4 patch and it has not fully been addressed. It appears there are some who meet the system requirements but are still having issues so what is going on? I myself have gone to do game recovery and uninstalled and reinstalled the game and still have the issue. I have a 2019 Mac and meet the requirements and am having the freezing issue and then the game exit issue, to where you have to force quit to fully exit the game, if I try to play the game after while trying not to copy any dialog or having to go to something like discord to respond to someone(since again that FREEZES the game).

    SO what is going on?

Fun fact: the requirements have recently been updated, and it kind of just mentions that the compatible mac models are M1 / M2 or HIGHER…

Ran into the same issue but my mac is much much older. Accepted defeat and ordered a gaming laptop.

Try updating your os / doing a clean boot? If none of the recommended fixes work, it might just be that your mac is… too old to run the game as well?
