I highly doubt the OP is a member of a minority in any way.... unless we are counting trolls as a minority now.

they bring up divisive topics like this consistently, and for the sole reason of causing dissent and arguments.

the "moderators" of these forums might as well be seen as actively encouraging it as reporting it does nothing and the threads are allowed to continue as they degenerate into anger, insults and generally circular arguments while the trolls laugh their heads off at another successful thread...

This thread has gone way off course as far as this being a discussion about FFXIV. It's now devolved into your typical political twitter drama. A moderated forum would have prevented this and removed those types of unncessary posts. I don't know why people come to a FFXIV forum to discuss this in this manner.

why? because the moderators are seen less often than a unicorn. they are mythical non entities that do less than the STF against known bots.

come to think of it, sometimes the ONLY person that seems to do anything at SE is Yoshi, the story people and the musicians... the rest just seem to collect a paycheque for going to daily tea gardens or something

How they handle the forums and their complete lack of disregard for anything that goes on here is one of my biggest disappointments in the FFXIV team. And I do include community management as part of the team. It seems they just put up post limits and a subscription or free trial requirement and walked away. That's not good enough.

Only in some parts of the world and some cultures - amongst most Asian communities it isn't that pronounced or even discussed (I'm in a traditional Asian culture). Amongst my Middle Eastern friends it also doesn't seem a dominant topic or concern. Often in this forum, I think people default to a US centric mindset and forget the rest of the world may not see things the same, which makes some sense since this is the English forums, I suppose ^^

Doesn't matter if it's the world or not. They're still one of the smallest groups of people on the planet. That's not my opinion, that's just statistics. That isn't to say their wants are all bad ofc. But many expect alot which isn't feasible (Considering their size).

In XIV gender doesn't really matter as thats not a focal point. Both men and women are equally capable and it doesn't need to go past that as biologically that's the camp we all fall into (with the exception being intersex people). How a particular person feels outside of their biological sex is their deal, not the devs.
