I share what was mentioned before about hermaphroditism or asexuality; those are actual BIOLOGICAL features that are found in real animals and not constructs created by humans. I doubt they'll will be added to the game tho, because doing so would require a complete implementation of dialogues, voice lines, assets and more for every race and any content around them, which is kinda problematic if you consider how much was released during those years. Doing something like that would be an immense work for the developers and may be unfitting lore-wise, so it would be easier to just add new races with those features, like the already mentioned Omnicron.

Nah, I think that objective, biological facts are MUCH more important than subjective beliefs that exists inside your own mind. Moreover, it would make no sense for many races to be hermaphrodites or asexual; it would be a bad written lore if implemented. I would like a race that is both or neither, but anything else is good as it is now.

A NB student came into my office today and mentioned how they don't feel represented in media. As more people come out as non-binary, like Bella Ramsey (https://gamerant.com/the-last-of-us-...sey-nonbinary/), I think FF14 also has a role in being inclusive with gender identity as more and more people identify as NB, third gender, queergender or genderless:



I hope that Square Enix can make a progressive statement and let the first MMO include non-binary/third gender choices during character customization. If they want to go further, they could even make new racial models that have a queergender aesthetic, like Shadowbringers Urianger, which would allow for deeper customization as even people in the gender binary would also be interested in playing gender-ambiguous characters.

I agree completely with this as a non binary person myself. I also think any transphobic comments should be removed here by the moderators. LGBT+ topics are not bait, and it should be carefully monitored so that we don't grow these mindsets in the community. We're being attacked more than ever before in society, and we need to be looked after as much as possible.
