Ward Delivery System Idea

How about this for a way to link the wards?

Add in a NPC 'Shipping / Delivery Counter' You can browse the other wards from here and see if they have the item you want for sale.
If they do have it for sale in another ward the NPC can have it ordered and delivered to the current city you are in.
Of course such a service would not be free, I would imagine a % of the items total cost would be added to the buyer's final price. The NPC pockets the fee and the rest goes to the player/retainer that the item was purchased from.

This way, there is a incentive to go to different cities for shopping but if you REALLY want a item without having to travel you can speed up the process by using this. Also provides another way to acutally spend money.

EDIT: As for the actual delivery time, I think one "in-game day / night cycle" (one day) would be sufficient. Instant would be nice but that kind of breaks the concept of having it 'delivered'.

Any thoughts on this idea?
