    The capstone trials for each expansion desperately need an ilvl sync (Spoilers)

    Did Endsinger this morning, and even with crafted gear she's now being killed before the final dialogue sequence.

    We kinda knew it was coming, in 6.3 people were pushing Endsinger to <20% before the phase transition and she was only just barely getting the dialogue out, but it's outta control now. I got it in trial roulette today and she was almost single digits before phase transition, and killed before the Scion dialogue. I felt so terrible for the new player doing it the first time who missed the whole thing. At this rate by 6.5 she'll be getting phased at 0.1%.

    I really hope they don't let this fight become Thordan 2.0."

    This has been a topic of conversation for quite a while. The capstone trials for each expansion (exluding the new Ultima Weapon) are extemely anti-climactic outside of release patch. The absolute worst case example is Thordan, who, even at minimum ilvl, is a massive pushover. What should be an epic clash, climax, and conclusion of the base expansions instead leaves players thinking "That was it?". In the case of Endwalker, The Endsinger is now dying before the scions can finish their lines and before the final phase music is even heard.

    Oh look the game has a solution already inbuilt.

    Would just like to point out that we did that WEEK ONE of 6.1 in a 24man premade on OCE servers, made up of people that do savage regularly. (Mostly from the <Lala> FC)

    Players queueing in through duty finder without a full party can't select minimum ilvl. That's what is being addressed here.

    In addition to IL, the constant potency buff over patches also plays huge part in this issue.

    I'd love these fights to get tweaked. New praetorium was a blast, and I can only assume the other capstone fights wouldn't need nearly as much overhauling.

    It's not about making fights "harder." It's about moving them onto the spectrum of difficulty that matches their point in the narrative-- in the grand scheme of things they should be easy, but right now they're just not even on the spectrum.

    It's so weird seeing the community (yes, i know there are different opinions) sway back and forth between 'hey, we need to fix old content' and 'MORE NEW CONTENT'. Are people really that concerned about the new player experience?

    That said, I wonder when/if Trial trusts are coming. I know they've mentioned they want to make the whole MSQ soloable eventually, I wonder if Trials will be included in that.

    For what is the expansions debatable final boss(s), yes, yes I am worried about it.

    All for it. Hated how much of a nothing burger Thordan was and Shinryu/Hades/Endsinger became.

    My experience doing Thordan when I started was absolutely shite considering how much he and the Knights got hyped up. Loved Shinryu when it came out but ShB onwards just got whacked. Does no damage to warrant more healing than a Medica II. Hades same story.

    Now Endsinger gets defeathered and disrespected, the centerpiece why the Ancients got utterly f-ed and we nearly relive their BS is being taken apart like its nothing in the same bloody expac.

    Now don't get me wrong, I am not asking for Savage or EX difficulty stats, I am merely asking for the experience near expansion starts to be preserved for such fights, not because I need a challenge but because I know from experience how disappointing powercrept bosses can be, which may kill the joy and user experience.

    Old content janitorial work makes the game better. Leveling roulette is better for everyone thanks to New Copperbell and Trial Roulette better for the absence of Steps of Faith, for example.

    It's not glamorous, and I'm not saying every single thing needs it-- but every time I pop into a roulette no matter the level I should get something more interesting than a guildhest. That's something just about any player can appreciate, whether they be brand new or not.

    I've heard legends of KT on normal, but I'll have to see it in context. Can't say I'm terribly excited to see the anticlimax, but I want to feel just how much of an anticlimax it is in context.

    Fully agree with you. It's really sad how most capstone trials are so easy, especially Endsinger. I understand they don't want to make it too hard, but people should be able to at least experience all the dialog and mechanics for the normal versions of the fights.
