Gotta try that one!I helped a friend for their first time in Endsinger trial not long ago. The boss skips to adds phase just when she introduce the rewind mechanic for first time. Additionally on last phase, the 5th scion didn’t even get to finish their speech before she dies lol.
In Thordan trial, my favorite thing to do is to scare my (co)healer by pressing anti-kb and eat the proximity marker point blankbonus point if they get to see their own Rescue misses.
My first run of the brand new dungeon had bosses that didn't survive until the music chorus.
Action potencies can easily be regulated for expansion level ranges using traits, anyways. They do this at 84 for most jobs in EW. Only like, direct hit couldn't be easily put back in the bottle.
As is, even min ilvl leveling trials like Ravana take like 30% of the total time a regular HW group would have. And that means they're only hearing like 20% of the awesome base singing in Steel Unbending.
That's terrible. How are Soken and the graphic designers supposed to make the game feel epic if the battle designers keep snubbing them in posterity?
honestly the people that I have done min ilvl trails and raids with they had fun despite it being hard. soo I think the MSQ should be ilvl sync maybe Not min ilvl, but maybe the max ilvl that was available for that trail at the time of release. good example is CT. at max it should be ilvl synced to a hard cap on ilvl 80, 90, 110 respectively for those 3 raids for example. I also think they need to rework the rewards for it to be appropriate for those running roulette especially for higher level content.Okay then, do you have any data that backs up new players preferring to have a more challenging experience in the MSQ trials/dungeons compared to now? The point I'm making is why would SE change what is currently working? For certain fights, they have changed them because they were meme worthy for years (Cape Westwind), and maybe that will happen again but I don't see it right now. I enjoyed the Thordan fight and I also enjoyed the newer more difficult trials.
edit: Also, I wonder if all vet players would prefer a more difficult roulette experience. From what I've seen, the vast majority just want to get through it, but I could be wrong.
But it was hilarious getting to watch people flailing about not knowing mechanics. when we we did lota min ilvl and wiped so many times on King Behemoth. I don't it was awesome to see people witness the mechanics and get through those trails. I was fortunate to do alot of the content at their respective ilvls when those trails and such released.
I don't like unsyncing things off the bat and its sad to see the mentality of like NN mentors and such running everything unsynced. its off putting.
It's sad to see the bosses in Aglaia are already becoming a joke where you don't see any of the trickier mechanics anymore. You can literally skip the whole "balance" section of the last boss. There will soon be a time when we'll basically just never see the coolest feature of the encounter anymore. New players will just never know about it.
Tanks in current ilevel gear literally have 2x as much hit points as tanks doing the fight in base Endwalker AF.
SE be like 'we gotta do a stat squish because the damage/hp values are getting out of control and the engine can't handle it if they get much bigger'
Also SE: 'yeh make the tanks literally double in HP with just 90 ilvl increase, this is definitely not going to bite us in the ass in the future'
We're gonna need another statsquish in 8.0 if this keeps up, because we're getting to SHB numbers even faster than we got to them originally. Previously it took 8 years of gear to get there, now it's looking like we'll get there in 4-6. Is it going to keep accelerating? Are we going to reach the point where we need a statsquish after every raidtier because it accelerated so much? I'm sure there's a physics theory about this kind of 'exponential acceleration'
Its a combination of better understanding of mechanics and power creep. Power creep is on that VERY powerful in making things excessively easy. While the other one means that mechanics are less likely to cause wipes (which for older content is a good thing).
While there is the aspect of improving your gear for optimizing duties, for old content this factor is obsolete as everyone is effectively maxed out. Those duties would on that benefit from a strict ilvl. It doesnt have to be the minimum ilvl either, but at least keeping the chalenge is a good thing. The moment phases can be skipped entirely is when they need to rework the duties (even if its only increasing boss health).
The last problem is rewards: most outdated content has rewards that isnt worth it. Or you want to unsync it and repeatedly beat it that way (like the mounts). There is no reward for doing an outdated extreme in sync, except for maybe the experience of difficulty (which is mostly interesting for streamers to do, but for the regular players just a hassle). I think that in these cases they should at least have made the mount drop rate 100%: there is still the part of rolling for it, so it might be just 12.5% odds then, but that still gives a reason to at least try it.
And maybe on that they should just introduce a special tomestone that can only be obtained from pre endwalker (and next major release include endwalker), and gives its own special rewards. And with it have some events going on that promotes playing certain trials (and maybe even its own roulette) so single duty farming is less likely to happen. It can be a passive thing like mentor roulette.
Yeah... always felt like new folks should experience these fight just as they were when they 1st came out, echo is more than enough to push groups that are having a hard time...
It just keeps getting better, guys!
Found this one on Reddit some time ago, I am amazed. Just imagine for a second that, in DT, all players will be able to don 660 gear with poetics and easily get numbers like on the image above. Ridiculous.
Meanwhile, in the very same expansion:
So, they are syncing Ilvl for 89 Trial but cannot do the same for one literally on the next level.
To no surprise, Hydaelyn with Ilvl sync actually feels like a proper fight and lasts long enough to see ALL mechanics in their entirety. Shocking stuff, I know.
Why can't we sync Endsinger to 560, again? They do not play their own game.
the funny is that the HP for first tank is like what the HP was it was before the first number squish came in 5.0.
