Island sanctuary better than housing.

I believe the island sanctuary's design is better than the housing design and it's not even close. I have a mansion and workshop. I love my housing workshop and my mansion but this island has got me. I can't sleep until it is fully leveled up. The 90 decoration slots are nice, the buildings are better than the exteriors my workshop at home can make, and the island workshops are much more fun to operate than the housing one. I give square an A on the island design and believe going forward it will get even better. TY Square

With decorations it is now much better place.
The only thing I would like to see there tho is the possibility to bring there our retainers.

Since player can have up to 10 retainers it would make that place feel more alive with option to place them as NPCs.

SE already have an housing item that allows it. Tho some changes are needed first since that item (expansion of duties) is part of these special outdoor furnishings that were excluded from island now.

All it needs now is a dedicated little house that allows you to port to your appartment to make it feel like actual housing (and maybe gardening)

A retainer bell and repair npc are needed to turn it into a hub for you from where you can queue into duties. Also market board access would be nice, a mammet can work as delivery boy to make it plausible.

Without these functions the island can not work as an alternative to housing.

like imagine trying to erp in your island while mammets are watching

housing will always be better because you can shoo the npcs away while you're erping and we all know that the most important thing in this game is erp

My house has a workshop with 3 airships and three subs and I have 3 garden plots. What's the difference? and the house has no mammets to help you're house is more a sweatshop then the island.

My house has direct travel, a retainer bell, an fc chest, vendors, an armoire, a mailbox, a practice dummy, gardens that produce useful mats, it is very close to a market board, it has very cheap travel to it and my GC is 35 gils away to turn in gear. The island may look nice but my house is my base due to its practicality.

The Island can keep me busy 5 minutes per day max with the animals and garden not automated. I use the house in between pretty much everything to craft, trade, practice, etc. I can't turn the Island into such a hub in its current state. There isn't even a retainer bell or MB in Moraby Docks.

When I decorate my Island I have to constantly run back and forth to my house to get mats, decos and dyes whenever I get a new idea. Not practical. I would love the Island to have more functionality but unfortunately, it doesn't. I don't need that many cowries.
