Just play it for yourself. I find the patches better than the 6.0-game. But it is a matter of taste.i was just watching a youtuber and he mentioned endwalker is seen too some as a low point for ff14 but didnt expand on it...any ideas why people think that? im not an endwalker lover or anything but i started ff in shadowbringers so i dont have a history i can use to see why people would think that.
Cheers

Endwalker is peak fiction. The current patch series is the garlic jr saga.
If they just mean content or mechanics or something then yeah it's probably a constant downward slope so [current year] is always going to be the lowest point.
I haven't really found anything positive to say about EW thus far and I doubt the last few patches will change that opinion honestly.
From the job design to combat encounters, to side content like Island Sanctuary and V&C Dungeons, to the story, it's all been horribly lackluster as a whole IMO, that I'd put it even below ARR.
Endwalker zones and msq dungeons are peak design ngl, even rivaling Heavensward ones. Endwalker plot... better no comment.I haven't really found anything positive to say about EW thus far and I doubt the last few patches will change that opinion honestly.

I have been playing since beta and Endwalker was a great finish when it came to the MSQ. The post patch MSQ on the other hand I find pretty boring and unoriginal. I am tired of SE using old FF content in XIV and I am very unhappy they decided to make it such a big part of the MSQ this time around. Bottom line is I don't see Endwalker as a low point although I don't find the content added during the expansion life cycle to be directed at my interests. I am hoping 6.5 really turns this MSQ around but I am not sure what they intend.i was just watching a youtuber and he mentioned endwalker is seen too some as a low point for ff14 but didnt expand on it...any ideas why people think that? im not an endwalker lover or anything but i started ff in shadowbringers so i dont have a history i can use to see why people would think that.
As far as I can figure, the people so disenchanted with Endwalker were expecting Shadowbringers 2: Electric Boogaloo; that is to say they weren't happy with the direction and conclusion of the story. Personally I very much enjoyed it, though I can understand why not everyone would.
I'll admit that post-6.0 has been very lackluster. The raid is just kind of meh, the alliance raid is cool background information but not all that important, and the MSQ is just extended fanservice I don't / can't appreciate (and dealing with the obstinate Garleans). Hopefully 6.55+ picks it back up, because right now I'm barely playing this game.

Let me stop you right there.
"A youtuber" is not a good source for attitudes about the game. This forum is not a good source for attitudes about the game. Neither is supported by anything other than small, self-selecting groups of players who are not at all representative of the player base as a whole.
“Endwalker a high point in the series” for people like me doesn’t have quite the click bait and draw as something negative about a product doing well, which Xiv is.
I mean I understand why people would like Endwalker but I just don't like much of anything it brought to the table in terms of story and content. It doesn't help my social circle in game also largely quit due to issues with class design. So yeah to me this expansion has been rather underwhelming.
