I think OP is a very fragile person because they need attention on the forums constantly. They must be looking for help, which is why they posted this thread.

Having come from a roulette where I had to do a good portion of the healing as a Red Mage, I understand the desire to say something. That said, I prefer the in-game atmosphere of XIV a lot more than any other MMO I played so I'm fine with the decisions they made.

But at the same time, it has to be said that the over moderation has wiped out the majority of people who would otherwise be obnoxious trolls. But is it worth it if in return we get a neutered chat system that heavily restricts our speech?

I do the same. They really shouldn't be complaining. You know if alliance members are watching a cutscene if their names are shaded, which means they are at a distance (usually in a cutscene). Most people don't seem to know that.

These people won't ever survive something like WoW or Lost Ark.

Maybe that's why they don't play those and chose this game.

there is always that little risk regardless..

always a risk sure, but if you offer it kindly enough, even if reported, I have yet to see anyone banned for being nice
