Changes to dungeon kick system?

I can't find any info regarding this at all, but has kicking from dungeons changed?

I remember a situation in HW where we kicked the same person from AntiTower 3 or 4 times, them returning over and over. Or we can't get an in-prog tank so I leave and re-queue to 'swap jobs' that way.

Today I tried it again, killed the boss and trash up to the next boss in Aetherfont without a tank while it was trying to find one. I asked to be kicked so I could re-queue, but the 3 queue attempts before penalty all didn't show the in-prog dungeon.
First two popped instantly, the third queue didn't pop for a solid minute.

Has the system changed? Or did they happen to get a tank the moment I leave despite no tanks showing up for 10 minutes?

Why would you need to be kicked from a group that was missing a tank? You can leave a dungeon freely when one of the players is missing.

The only reason why you got the penalty could be that a tank showed up right in the split second you left the group.

Thanx! I didn't know you could leave an incomplete party without penalty!
I got the penalty because I attempted to re-queue 4 times, cancelling every time I saw the pop not to be in-prog.

You cannot rejoin a duty that you were kicked from. This change was implemented some time after HW launch; however I can't find the patch notes that mention it.

If you want to change jobs to fill a vacant role, just leave, change jobs, and requeue. If at that point it doesn't offer you the in-progress duty, it means it was already offered to someone else.

I guess that's what I was after, some confirmation on kicking/rejoining not being a thing anymore, thanx!
