Hidden item limits for Island Sanctuary?

I'm working on decorating one of my islands.

I've got 6 Oriental Grass Plots placed. If try to place another, I get the "You cannot place any more of that outdoor furnishing" error message.

I've got 4 Lupin Plots placed. Again, I get the error message if I try to place a 5th.

I have no Sunflower Plots placed. I still get the error message if I try to place one.

On the other hand, I have 12 Dohn Trellis placed and i don't seem to have an issue placing as many as I want (I stopped at 35 while experimenting).

Anyone else having issues with hitting placement limits with specific item types on Island Sanctuary? I'm submitting this as a bug but I'd like to know if others are having similar issues with the same or other types of items.

edit: thank you to those who pointed out the message on the tooltip I had overlooked. I guess it now should be feedback to have the limitation removed considering we don't have similar restrictions on outdoor items outside of "trophy" furnishings.

It's not a bug, it's on the item descriptions (hover over the items):

"Up to ten flower plots may be placed in a single garden, regardless of type."

Your 6 oriental and 4 lupin is your 10 limit.

I have no idea why there is a limit, but it would seem the Island housing is an extension of the main housing so it has the same limitations.

Flower plots have a combined placement limit of 10, this applies to the sanctuary as well.

Yes, same thing with the Lupin plots happened w/ me too. Also, the firefly cages are bugged as all get out. They worked just fine from the time you place them, but once you leave the island, then come back, they're not functioning properly again (the fireflies aren't outside of the cages).

Well that's a shame. I wonder why such a limit exists when there's no such limit on some of the items with slight animations such as the Garden Ponds with the water ripple effect (or at least I assume the animation would be the reason for the limit).

Interesting to know that even if we could decorate the pathways of the hideaway, the limit on the oriental grass still would have slammed a door in my face.

I don't seem to recall Yoshi mentioning that item limits for housing outdoor furnishings still apply at the Island. My bad if I did, but I still should have known that those restrictions would still be in place.

This limit is particularly annoying on the Island given the size of the area to decorate.

I wish they would at least add more plant options that cover the ground (bigger shrubs, flower patches, grass and different soil outdoor round and square carpets. I tried dyeing the gravel patch in green but it looked terrible so I ended up making a sort of gravel garden with water and some flowery areas. Apart that there's the Lakeland flower garden but it's purple. The other current plant options only cover tiny areas.
